Hello everyone! Before I leave for vacation, I just wanted to hop on here and hopefully clear up some confusion and give a better picture of what being a groomer means when it comes to no-shows.
A “no-show” means not showing up to your scheduled appointment with no heads up, If this happens, payment for the missed appointment will be required before being placed back into the schedule.
I didn’t feel that I needed to bring this up before, as it has not been a very frequent issue. However, over the past few days, this policy has unfortunately been neglected multiple times, so I felt it was important to address it.
As groomers, we are self-employed, which means if a client does not show up, we do not get paid for that reserved time. It would be similar to showing up to work and not getting paid for several hours of your day.
Please keep in mind how much no-showing an appointment affects your groomer. Not only is it lost income, but it is also wasted time that could have been given to another client hoping for a sooner appointment.
This is why we have this policy in place — to help recover lost revenue and time from missed appointments. No-shows are a very common issue in the dog grooming industry, as well as many other service-based industries.
* We also ask that you are mindful of our cancellation policy in which you need to cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment if you unable to make it. If you cancel your appointment after the 24 hours, please respect that we are not given enough time to fill your spot.
We truly appreciate all of our amazing clients who continue to support us, show up for appointments, and understand the importance of respecting scheduled time. Thank you all so much! ❤️
