SALON CLIENTS ONLY — PLEASE READ 🤍
I want to give a quick reminder regarding a few of our salon policies going forward.
If I currently do not have a card on file for you, I will be sending over a request to add one. Our cancellation policy requires 48 hours’ notice. I have historically been very flexible with this policy when circumstances come up, and I will always try to be understanding when I can.
However, frequent and last-minute cancellations have become increasingly difficult to accommodate. We have had 3 appointments cancelled already this week and 5 last week alone. Going forward, cancellation fees will be enforced, and clients who consistently cancel may be removed from our recurring schedule.
I book salon clients for the entire year for a reason. We have a schedule to maintain, employees to pay, and clients on our waitlist who would happily take an available appointment with adequate notice.
No-shows will be charged the full cost of the scheduled appointment. If you’re running late or something comes up, please communicate with me. We can usually work something out! You also receive multiple appointment reminders leading up to your scheduled visit.
I also want to clarify our recurring scheduling requirement. Our salon operates on a 6-week-or-less recurring schedule. Yes, this is the only scheduling structure I offer. Other salons may operate differently, and that’s completely okay. These are simply the policies and scheduling requirements that allow The Good Dog to operate effectively and provide consistent care to our clients.
All of these requirements are outlined in our intake paperwork, along with explanations for why they are in place. Please make sure you thoroughly read the policies you agree to when booking with us.
The Good Dog has been my salon for 7 years, and after 9 years of grooming, I’m incredibly grateful to continue growing and expanding. With that growth comes the need to be more consistent in protecting our schedule and our team’s time.
I truly appreciate the clients who communicate with us, respect their reserved appointment times, and have continued to support The Good Dog over the years. 🤍
