Between salon projects, house projects, being a mama, a partner, attending conformation classes with my dogs, trying to enjoy the sunshine, and everything in between — life can get a little busy sometimes.

I just wanted to hop on here and say thank you all for the patience, support, and kindness you continue to show while I balance a growing business, exciting projects, and life behind the scenes. Simply trusting me with your pets truly means more than you know.

I’ve recently received a few messages regarding not having future appointments scheduled.

If you already responded to our scheduling message and are patiently waiting — thank you! I truly appreciate it. ♥️

If you have not yet seen or responded to the message and would like to prebook future appointments, please reach out before it’s too late.

Moving forward, I will no longer be working outside of my normal business hours to fit dogs back into rotation. Because of this, clients waiting until the last minute to schedule may experience wait times of 6+ weeks for an appointment.

Prebooking is the best way to ensure your pup stays on a consistent grooming schedule and receives preferred appointment times. ✂️

✨ Scheduling Policy Update Beginning June 2026 ✨

As The Good Dog continues to grow and I bring on an employee beginning in June, I will officially be implementing updated scheduling and cancellation policies. 🐾

Beginning in June:

• A valid card on file will be required for all appointments
• 48 hours notice will be required for cancellations
• Last minute cancellations and no-shows will be subject to a fee

Over the years, I’ve always tried my best to be flexible and accommodating with scheduling. However, with a very full schedule, limited grooming days, and staffing involved, I need to make sure appointment times are being respected moving forward.

When an appointment is reserved, that time is held specifically for your pet and is often difficult to refill on short notice.

I completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen, and I’ll always try to approach those situations with understanding when possible. My goal is simply to keep scheduling fair, organized, and sustainable as the business continues to grow. ✨

Meet the newest addition to The Good Dog team — Addison 🫧

Some of you may recognize her from our Center Street salon days! We’re so excited to officially welcome her back to the salon as our bather starting in June 🤍

As we continue to grow, bringing on someone we already know and trust was incredibly important to us. Addison will be helping with baths, blow dries, desheds, prep work, and making sure your pups feel comfortable and cared for during their spa days with us ✂️🛁
