This firecracker was a true rescuer. She said what she wanted and fought for the things she believed in. She helped me so very long ago when I was in art school and working and came up with this idea for SEMO Lost Pet to help the community and with the Mission becoming larger I needed help running the lost pet page because I was drowning running both. She took that on as a volunteer and did it for so many years, even through long periods of cancer treatments. I never had to worry anout her(or her daughter) and the page because she handled it all with the most amazing dedication. I am forever grateful to my kind hearted friend and the world is a darker place without her in it. Say hi to all the dogs up there Cindy Folks Lester. We miss your face. Rochelle MacsMom Steffen
Cindy was a quiet superhero in the background. She helped thousands of dogs and was a huge help to the mission and this community. Cindy helped mom so much by running moms other page "SEMO Lost Pet", a local resource for lost and found pets. This resource has helped locally reunite hundreds of wayward pets. Aunt Cindy(and her daughter Hannah) ran it for a ton of years because Aunt Cindy was a dynamic force in the rescue community and always wanted to help the dogs. She was always a really good friend to mama. She departed after a long fierce battle with cancer and is definitely being greeted with so much slobber and affection at the rainbow bridge. We love and miss you Cindy, forever more.
