This video of Taznook is from when he was younger.

Unfortunately Taz passed a few days before Christmas of 2023.

I'm weighing a ton of options on how to get back into breeding but unfortunately I don't have a lot. I've had a lot of people asking when I'll start again but I can't guarantee anything at this time.
I'd love to continue to breed amazing pets for yall and myself but at this point in time I can't keep affording to transport in new mice.

I hope yall can understand and I'll leave my DMs open so I can continue to answer any questions.

Happy holidays!

Posting this to just keep the page active, Taznook is still our last mouse and I'm still not in a position to continue breeding but I'm hoping to eventually get back into it.

Well this page is now gonna be just dedicated to my retired girls Marlow, Sorrel, Snowflake, Tina, and Princess and also my retired boy Taznook. As announced a few weeks ago ARO's Mousery is officially closed and I will no longer be breeding/selling mice. I'm happy to make recommendations to other breeders I know have quality animals.

My old ladies got some new toys as well! Their bin is now a work in progress as they chewed through some of their plastic toys I had as space fillers. I gave they some extra hay to make up for it tho!

Taznook is happy as a clam with his new hanging decor!

He's no longer sneezing and he's definitely maintaining his weight just fine. I believe he is in the clear! Won't make it official for at least another week just in case but he's doing great honestly.

Taznook is one of the mice that will be staying with me.

He is currently in a state of limbo, sniffling and some wheezing, he is getting treated but I'm happy to say he's not getting better or worse so that's good news. Taz may potentially just be stuck with a sound when he breathes, which is caused by scarring in the lungs from sickness.

As we can see during his bin clean he got very spoiled with all the treats and nesting materials. There are also several chewing toys buried under so when he digs he'll find them!

In the last 24 hours I have felt so much love from the mouse community and my local reptile community. Everyone has been super understanding of what I'm going through and I've had offers of people helping me rebuild when I'm ready.

I know it's a while away but by 2025 I should have my own house. I'm already working on saving for a good down payment and if I can get a better car right after that I'll also be able to do short transport runs! I may also expand the rodent varieties that I have to more than just mice.

This also gives me time to plan how I want to expand my breeding practices and start looking for new equipment and other breeders who I'll be getting stock from.

While this whole situation isn't ideal it's definitely opened my eyes to the possibilities that are available to me. I don't want to restart again but this is unfortunately what needs to happen. I may consider renting a small separate space from my apartment to keep certain lines of mine but it's not a major priority at the moment.

As I've stated before I will keep this page active and I've had some ideas for the mouse community that I'll now have time to focus on.
