SKC Pony Collection We are a family with a appreciation for a good pony! We started with the page SKC Livestock and recently branched our pony program out to its own page!

Hey everyone! Most of you guys know who we are and all about our original page SKC Livestock. For those of you who don’t know is here is a little backstory. We are Cheyenne and Levi, our kids are Kyler and Saylor and we have one on the way. When I was a little kid I loved ponies. When I got a little older I still LOVED ponies and now that I’m an adult with two kids and one on the way that passion

is still there! I have always appreciated how much a GOOD pony can completely make a child’s confidence soar! Children get independent early and the best way in my opinion to let that independence thrive is to get them a pony their size and let them figure it out. We have been posting ponies on our SKC Livestock page since it started, but now that the kids are old enough and they share my love for a good pony I thought it was time to give the ponies their own page. Ponies are different from a horse. They will either create a strong love and build confidence or scare your child off with one rotten move. I know this first hand
That’s why our program is a little different. We typically buy our ponies like we buy our geldings. Younger (under 6), attractive, and with a natural gentle nature. We keep them for an extended period of time (hence the name COLLECTION) to put them all the way through the program. Our program
When a pony first comes in he belongs to me, mom, solely for however long it takes to get him riding well, I ride said pony inside and out, haul him everywhere I go and just make sure there are no habits or secret little rotten desires in that little pony head of his before I send him on to Levi at the feed yard. Levi typically shows them the inside and outs of a full days work and all about a cow. He will rope on these ponies, sort and load trucks on them. After that they come back to mom for a lesson pony and then the kids usually take over. They are the real makers of the pony at our house. They torture these ponies, ride them all over gods green earth, push cattle off them rope the dummy, ride them in parades, go check cattle on them outside, take them to play days, you name it they will try it on these ponies. After all of that commotion you have a well broke, light a bomb off beside him, ride him through fire, kind of pony. We then take the pictures and the videos and post them on this page for you guys to enjoy. We have had great luck selling these ponies this way and our kids sure like it. We are hard on our crew of ponies and that’s what makes them so dang good. They’re the kind of ponies your child will learn and blossom with and when they’re done you will want to pass them down through your family! We want more future horseman in the world! Therefor we want to only sell ponies that create that passion and desire not ponies that would deter a child from wanting to go on in the horse world! Every one of our ponies is guaranteed completely sound and sane. We also guarantee them to be exactly like we say they are. We will always post all of a ponies strengths and weaknesses. We have a great reputation for our ponies and work hard to keep it that way. If you buy a pony from us and end up wanting lessons, or just a tune up we can arrange that as well as shipping. Shes slow, easy going walk trot pony. Perfect ground manners, light mouthed and easy to steer around. She’d be a great first pony for any toddler. She crosses water, safe around dogs and traffic. Baby Jag is a true dream pony, a magical unicorn, and the confidence builder every family longs for. Baby Jag is first at the gate for the kids to catch, pet and love on, and he is happy to follow them on all their adventures.

Every kiddo who sits on Baby Jag falls in love with him, and so do their parents. He is trustworthy and never takes a wrong step, and never takes advantage of the wrong cue or novice rider. Baby Jag has been found standing on the porch taking a nap while the kids build cattle pens around him. He is happy to do whatever is asked of him… without any hesitation.

He is one of the most versatile ponies you will ever meet, he has competed in every play day event, including barrels, poles, egg and spoon, key hole and more, but that’s not all he has on his resume, Saylor has ridden him English and taken him over many jumps! He has been used to push lots of calves and gather. One of his favorite things to do is track steers and the roping dummy around while the kids work on building their roping skills.

It is rare to find a pony as gentle, sweet, and respectable as Baby Jag.

He has always been one of the barn favorites with his beautiful coloring and impeccable personality! Baby Jag is the perfect size for young riders and is as broke and bombproof as they come. He’s been used around the ranch for daily chores, from gathering cattle to checking fences, and always keeps up with the big horses with a calm, and willing attitude. He’s been there, done that, and is safe 24/7, 365 days of the year. He has been taught to curbside mount to any fence, mounting block, rock or whatever you choose. he will also stand patiently while the children crawl up the side of him. Not to mention baby jag has been shot off of! That's right gunfire is no issue for this unicorn!

Baby Jag is easy handle, knows his leads, and stops on a dime. He rides quiet on a loose rein and will go wherever you point him without any fuss. No bridle? Thats no problem for Baby Jag! He stays gentle and listens to all the cues the exact same as he would with one! He has incredibly smooth, easy-to-sit gaits, he lopes off soft and stays collected. His walk, trot, and lope are all gentle and comfortable, making him a dream for kids to ride all day long.

Baby Jag is always gentle, and brings his quiet and gentle demeanor everywhere he goes. He’s truly a "babysitter" type, always patient, forgiving, and most importantly safe.
He’s been exposed to dogs, traffic, loud noises, cattle, semi’s, fireworks, and much more, and nothing phases him. He is a dream to haul, and is the same sweet pony anywhere he goes. He has been trail-ridden extensively and has seen big country, including trips to Palo Duro Canyon and the Canadian River. He’s surefooted in rough terrain, crosses water without hesitation, and handles steep hills, deep sand, and rocky trails like a pro.

Baby Jag loves his baths, and getting his beautiful mane braided. He stands quietly and is always patient for the little ones. Baby Jag is Townes’ go to pony for all the childhood games like tag, and hide and seek, he is also always happy to fly kites, drag toys, and does it all with the best attitude!

Just go ahead and mute my voice, but how sweet are these two at the rodeo today!

Just when we thought we couldn’t love him more, Cricket stepped up while Townes main mount is hurt. He’s such a saint!

Cricket sells at the League of Legends Invitational Horse and Stock Dog Sale in Helena MT the first weekend in August!
