Thanks to donations made on Line 33f of the MA State Income Tax Form, the Mass Animal Fund is able to open it's free spay/neuter voucher waitlist for animals in the following categories:

1. Dogs and cats owned by low-income MA residents over the age of 65 who receive public assistance.

2. Dogs and cats owned by disabled MA residents who receive public assistance.

3. Dogs and cats owned by MA residents who receive public assistance and whose animals need spay/neuter for a public housing requirement.

Update: This dog is back with her owner.

This sweet girl was found at the Blue Hills High School, 800 Randolph St, and has been brought back to the shelter safe and sound. She has no microchip, so if you recognize her or know the owner, please give us a call at (781)575-6507.

Update: This dog's owner has been located.

This sweet girl was found today on Pleasant Street in the area of Meyer Terrace. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan saw her and brought her to Animal Control, where she is now safe and receiving veterinary care.

If you are her owner, or have any information that may help us identify where she belongs, please contact Animal Control at (781) 575-6507.

At this time, she is not available for adoption. We are awaiting test results and have begun the process of refeeding, a gradual and carefully monitored approach to nutrition that helps ensure her body can safely adjust to receiving food again after a prolonged period of inadequate nourishment.

We are working closely with team at Canton Veterinary Hospital to provide her with the medical care, love, and support she needs. Our goal is to help her recover and give her the opportunity for a happy, healthy future.

We will post updates when we have them. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with her. Her issues did not develop overnight, and resolving them will take time.

Just because we do not see an adult with juvenile wildlife, doesn't necessarily mean they are alone.

Parents are out finding food ir keeping their distance to avoid predators from locating their offspring.

If you are unsure if a wild animal if orphaned, observe from a distance, take photos, & use our free app or website, AnimalHelpNow.org, to consult with a licensed wildlife rehabilitator before removing wildlife.

*if the juvenile wildlife animal has visible injuries, blood, fly eggs, flies around it, in the middle of the road, then contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator or facility near you immediately.
