I am writing this to address what happened yesterday. A groomer took 2 dogs outside to go to the bathroom and put them in the gated run we have outside. The gate was shut and latched. The dog managed to squeeze through the small opening between the gate and where the fence starts. 3 employees went out to try and catch her, but she ran. Some employees had to stay at the shop to take care of the dogs that were still there. Once all dogs were gone, all employees went out searching for the dog. We stayed out as late as we could and stayed in touch with the owners. We were out looking before 6 am, as we should have been. Thankfully, with everyone’s help, the owners got her back. Safety is always our number one priority. We take full responsibility for all dogs in our care. I am sorry to anyone that believes we do not care about the dogs, and their safety. I feel terrible for the dog, and her owners, foremost. I am thankful she is back home. We are doing everything possible to make sure nothing like this will ever happen again.
