Hello everyone, it's that time of year again so we are sending out the yearly reminder! We have had two cases of kennel cough thus far so please keep your babies at home if they are not feeling well. Kennel cough is also known as canine infectious tracheobronchitis and it is a highly contagious disease. It can be spread through airborne droplets, direct contact or sharing water bowls. A few symptoms of this disease is a coughing sound, lethargy, loss in appetite and/or sneezing. If your pup has any of these symptoms, please notify us as soon as possible and keep them home until they have not had any symptoms for 72 hours or longer. We love all our Paws in Play pups and just want them to be safe and healthy! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us!

Hi everyone! As we get closer to the 4th of July, we wanted to let everyone know we will be closed for all daycare. We will be opening at 7 AM for boarding drop off and pick up only. We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful 4th of July!

Important Notice of Price increase:

To our valued customers,

Let me start this by saying that I loathe price increases. Recent pressures on every industry have caused us to reconsider the nessesity of doing so. Tarrifs do affect us as does the persistant increases in Credit Card and banking fees. Add to that the ever increasing costs of staffing and their need to be paid a good wage so that they can afford to live as well.

I have searched our competition who have also gone up in prices recently. By competition I mean day cares that we respect and that run similarly to us. (All Day Play) JM Pet Resort ($46 per day) Happy Tails ($46 per day) and Off The Leash ($47 per day) just to name a few. At present, I do not feel that we need to go that high. Furthermore, I will not increase Boarding prices until after the summer.

We will hold off for a month (May 18, 2025) so that if you wish you will have the opportunity to purchase packages at the old rates.

The new rates will be as follows:

Full day, per day - $44
Half day, per day - $30
Half Day 10 Pack- $280
5 Pack - $210
10 Pack - $400
20 Pack - $760
Cat Boarding (Norton only) $38

We are also considering doing some kind of membership pricing for those of you using us 4 or more times a week. A camp I respect in Reading, is currently testing this out. I will wait to hear their results before making a decision.

I am trying to keep our rates as low as I can. Something that we have prided ourselves on for 13 plus years and counting. I recognize the stress and pressure that we are all under. Though I cannot promise, it is my wish that I will not need to go up in price again anytime soon. We are waiting to see what impact "Ollies Law" may have on the business in the near future.

We’re almost to the New Year!! We will be open regular hours for boarding and daycare on Tuesday, December 31st. We will open at 7 AM on Wednesday, January 1st for boarding drop off and pick ups only with a closing time of 6 PM. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe New Year! Thank you for all your continued support through the years, we couldn’t do it without you guys!

Greetings!!!

Ollie's law is now in effect. We were in full support of the law being established and passed. This law will now force all day cares to opperate under, what was before, suggested guidelines from the AKC. Most of the law is copy and paste from those suggestions. I have been proud that for over 14 years now, we have strived to maintain those standards, most of which is reguarding space and staffing levels per dog. That said, there are a few hidden gems in this law that we are seeking to get more information on.

The first being, any injury cause by a dog to another dog, human or other animal while in our care must be reported to Animal Control. Now, while it would seem that this would only include injuries caused by agressive or malicious behavior, the laws as written is unclear. Bite injuries have been automatic reports by law for a while, so we are thinking that this was just a poorly written section.

The second being licensing. Allegedly, we are now supposed to keep record of dog tag numbers, but it would appear that it would only be dog tag numbers from Canton residents. We will be in contact with any customers that are affected after we consult with Canton Animal Control.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to give everyone an update on our availability for the holiday! We are open for boarding drop off and pick ups only, we will not be accepting daycare that day. We are currently all booked up on boarding availability and will no longer be taking appointments.
