2026 North American Diving Dogs Nationals Wrap Up

The Canine Ranch Dock Diving team traveled to Springfield, Missouri, for the North American Diving Dogs Nationals, held October 21–24, 2026. Five handlers and 11 dogs made the 10-hour, 650-mile trek to compete.

Our team earned 20 national invitations across three disciplines: Distance, Hydro Dash, and Air Retrieve. The group included two lap dogs (16 inches or under) and four veteran dogs (8 years or older).

The remarkable comeback story was, just seven months after a total hip replacement, Venti participated in the “Last Chance Qualifier” and advanced to the next higher division—an extraordinary achievement made possible by hard work and dedication.

Eight dogs advanced to Saturday’s finals in all three disciplines.

Top-ten finishes: Our team earned 11 top-ten placements across all three disciplines!

Every member of the team came home a winner!
