🎃👻 **HALLOWEEN HAZARDS FOR PETS!** 🐾🧡

Halloween is full of spooky fun, but some of the treats and decorations can be scary for our furry friends! Keep your pets safe this Halloween with these important tips from **Alsager Animal Care Center**. 🐶🐱

🍫 **Keep Candy Out of Reach!** Chocolate, sugar-free candy containing xylitol, and other sweets can be dangerous or toxic to pets.

🕯️ **Watch Those Decorations!** Keep candles, electrical cords, fake cobwebs, and small decorations away from curious paws and noses.

✨ **Skip the Glow Sticks!** If chewed, glow sticks can cause irritation and excessive drooling.

🌸 **Beware of Toxic Plants!** Keep pets away from potentially toxic plants and seasonal arrangements. Remember, lilies are especially dangerous to cats!

🚪 **Secure Your Pets!** Frequent doorbell ringing and trick-or-treaters can frighten pets and increase the risk of escape. Keep them in a quiet, secure room.

👻 **Choose Safe Costumes!** If your pet wears a costume, make sure it fits comfortably and doesn't restrict movement, vision, or breathing.

🧡 **Most importantly:** Keep your pets’ microchip information and ID tags up to date, and never leave them unattended around Halloween hazards.

🚨 **If your pet eats something potentially toxic, contact your veterinarian or an animal poison control service promptly. Don't wait for symptoms to appear!**

From all of us at **Alsager Animal Care Center**, we wish you and your furry family members a safe, happy, and SPOOKTACULAR Halloween! 🎃🐾

🐾 October is Pet Wellness Month! 🐾
Our pets give us so much love—let’s help them live their happiest, healthiest lives. This month is a great reminder to schedule a wellness exam, keep vaccinations and parasite prevention up to date, provide balanced nutrition and regular exercise, and pay attention to changes in behavior or energy.
A little preventive care can make a big difference. Share a photo of your pet and tell us one way you support their well-being! 💙
