Why we prep and shave before surgery ✂️🐾
Before any surgery, it’s important to carefully clip and clean the surgical area — like you see here! Shaving the fur helps remove hair that can trap dirt and bacteria, while cleaning the skin with a special antiseptic scrub reduces the risk of infection; A skin infection can delay or even cancel surgery — your pet’s safety always comes first! 🐾

This step may seem simple, but it’s one of the most important parts of keeping our patients safe and ensuring a smooth, sterile procedure from start to finish. 💜✨

Reception often times has arguably one of the hardest jobs in the practice. They take the brunt of frustrations from clients and staff when things get stressful and they forge ahead with a smile on their face and a calmness in their voice. Veterinary Assistants are the backbone of a successful practice. Much like Vet Techs, there is a high expectation of them in their roles. They keep the practice moving by taking on everything from rooming patients, filling meds, medical records keeping, assisting in treatments and x-ray to surgical assisting; they are vital to our success!
