🦃🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at CCVS! 🍂🦃

Today, we’re feeling extra thankful for the incredible pets, families, and veterinary teams who make our community so special. 🧡

As you celebrate, please remember that CCVS–Buzzards Bay remains open 24/7 for emergencies should you need us. (Note: CCVS–Dennis will be open 12noon - 9pm on Thanksgiving Day for emergency services. Outside of that timeframe, Dennis remains closed for emergency services.)

Thanksgiving is a time for family, food, and fun — just keep in mind a few simple tips to help your pets stay safe this holiday:
🍗 Avoid sharing table scraps or bones.
🥧 Keep desserts and alcohol well out of reach.
🗑 Secure trash cans from curious noses.
🏵 Be mindful of small decorations or food skewers.
🚪 Make sure pets don’t slip out as guests come and go.

If you think your pet may have ingested something harmful, you can contact ASPCA Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 — but it’s not required before coming to us for emergency care.

With Thankgiving two days away, we thought we’d shoutout a huge THANK YOU to the team at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists. Wonderful people! ❤️

Abu arrived from one of our southern fosters; his foster mom noticed that his right front leg didn't look quite right. Off to CCVS he went and the rest is history.

Abu had a congenital abnormality that was making his elbow joint abnormal so a piece of the bone was cut out so the joint can move into its correct position. (That’s laymen terms).

He is doing great post-op and his foster mom Jen is taking great care of him. This boy is adopted and his family has been so patient why we got this sorted out.

Happy 2026 Abu - it's going to be your year! 🎉 🎈 🍕

🐾 Happy Monday! 🐾

This cutie’s name is Bucket — one of our team members’ adorable pups! She stopped by for a quick visit to say hi to everyone and instantly stole the show with her one blue eye, one brown eye, and boundless puppy energy. 💙🤎

At just 5 months old, Bucket’s curiosity keeps her busy — and sometimes that means trying to eat everything she finds on the ground (a foreign body waiting to happen!). Catch her giving a little side-eye in the second photo as she's not too please that mom keeps ripping all the leaves out of her mouth. 😅 Luckily, she’s already covered with Trupanion pet insurance.

We’re celebrating with some of our favorite costumed companions from our annual Barks & Brews events — because nothing says Halloween like a parade of paws in disguise!
