‼️Non training Tip‼️Recently, a couple younger gentlemen were here dropping off their parents’ dogs for training and asked me how I got to where I am today — and more importantly, how the endorsements, sponsors, TV cameras, and film crews all came along with it.
I thought it was a great question because nowadays a lot of people are chasing attention, trying every angle possible to get the spotlight on themselves. This was also a question that didn’t obviously deal with training but another side of the business which can be important for those thinking of pursuing it. Here’s my answer to that:
Don’t chase the cameras. Do your job right, and eventually the cameras will find you. The companies will find you too.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter whether there’s a camera pointed at you or not. Focus on doing the work the right way, treating people right, and mastering your craft. If you handle that part, everything else tends to take care of itself.
