💥This 1st Wednesday of June we are shouting out our 3rd Spotlight here at Wild Hearts & Horses!! 🥳

🧡 Pleased to introduce our PATH Intl Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor - Courtney Graf !

🐴A lil about Our Instructor!!🐴

Courtney grew up riding hunter/jumper and started training after high school. She showed on the APHA, AQHA, and USEF circuits. Courtney is a carded judge with 4-H and NVRHA. She has held both PATH CTRI and ESMHL certifications for ten years and worked at therapeutic equestrian centers in other states that she has lived in.

Courtney is well versed in giving riding lessons to youth and is also a SPED certified teacher. Your children will be in wonderful care here! 💕

We are so pleased to have Courtney as our riding instructor here at Wild Hearts & Horses. 💝

Horses Only Sleep Standing Up

One of the most famous myths about horses is that they spend their entire lives on their feet, even when sleeping. While it’s true that horses can doze while standing — a handy trick to escape predators quickly — they cannot achieve the deep, restorative REM sleep they need in this position.
For true REM sleep, a horse must lie down completely. This allows their muscles to fully relax. You’ll often see horses that are in a safe, comfortable herd environment, taking turns lying down for a deep sleep while others stand guard.

💥Volunteer Spotlight #1!!

💛We would like to introduce you to Anna!!

This sweet 16 year old has been faithfully volunteering with us since November and has about 35 hours logged of volunteering. Anna is dedicated, reliable, consistent, and has such a positive attitude. She loves the outdoors and has many skills and talents that she enjoys sharing with others. Anna also got her first job at an establishment this spring!

We are so very grateful & blessed to have Anna volunteer with us and to know her. 🥰 Of course our 1st volunteer spotlight would have to go out to our 1st volunteer who has reliably showed up weekly and recruited others! 🥳

As of yesterday we got 150 followers! 🥳🥰🐴❤️Thank you to all following along on our journey!! 💝
