🚨Irish Billy Saves the Day!🚨

This morning we encountered a situation. One that must be handled with the upmost seriousness...

The wind was pretty strong this morning and as we looked across the pasture, with horses running all over, we saw it. There was a plastic bag in the pasture. Our older geldings were not bothered by said bag - even though it was in their field. The younger geldings (and Wayne-O) on the other hand, definitely saw the bag for the monster that it was. Thankfully their humans were able to wrangle the bag and Irish Billy faced the demon, head on, and let it know that he and his friends were not going to live in fear any longer. 😆🏇🐴

Trail riders! Don't overlook this gelding just because he is 17 years old. He can trail ride all day and then some. Rio has no known injuries, is barefoot, and is an easy keeper. Low adoption fee. Message the page for more.

Please share Uncle Arthur and help us find him his forever home. Arthur was bailed from a kp in June and had a long road to recovery, but he is finally ready to begin a new life with no limitations for his second career. Arthur is 16.1 and still growing. He is going to be a big guy. He has been lightly restarted and has a lovely walk/trot/canter and picks up his correct leads every time. He has the disposition we all look for, willing and polite, and great ground manners. He stands on the crossties, is good for the clippers, and loves his grooming time.
Arthur is getting white hairs throughout his flanks and is going to be 'roany'. He is also 2026 RRP eligible and we will sponsor him if you decide to participate.
Applications can be found on our website and you can message the page for more information.
Videos will be in comments on the original post so folks can find all the info when you share this post. Follow us to see all of the available for adoption at Remember Me in Burleson, Texas.

🐴 Giving Tuesday Spotlight 🐴

On this we wanted to highlight, not just our horses looking for their forever homes, but also our horses who have retired with us as Sanctuary residents, so you could see just how your funds and donations can support our mission!

First up, the ever beautiful Wayne O. Wayne O was donated to us a few months ago by his connections with MyRacehorse.com. After racing, he went on to have quite an impressive second career as a 3 day eventer (peep the pic in the comments!). When he was diagnosed with kissing spine, it was decided that he live the high life of retirement, and end his riding career.

Wayne O is an incredibly sweet guy and we love having him at Remember Me. We especially love his feed time ritual where he races the feed cart up the fence line to his feed barrel. We just adore him!

Miss Carmen is a classy, 8 year old mare who was originally donated to our program in 2023 after her last race. She was adopted soon after but was recently returned due to a change in her adopters financial situation.
Carmen is just a sweetheart, a total snuggle bug. She is laid back under saddle, great on the trails, and goes through every obstacle on our course. She is a lovely mover with beautiful extended trot. She retired from racing with no injuries. And, as if that's not enough, she also has perfect conformation, nice bone, and does great staying barefoot.
Miss Carmen was recently de-wormed and had a booster vaccine on 11/22. She has not been exposed to any horses outside of the horses already at Remember Me since before the virus outbreak. Located in Burleson, Texas at Remember Me.
Message our page for more information and PLEASE our posts. Most of our horses find their forever homes because our followers and share them with their friends and groups.
