Angel Path Christmas Tree Farm and Photography Venue

Established in 2010, Angel Path Christmas Tree Farm is a beautiful, 10 acre farm that has been owned by the Powell family for over 45 years. We have two fields of pungent, dark green, large trees that are offered for choose and cut Christmas Trees on the Friday after Thanksgiving. In addition, they are the perfect backdrop for Christmas season

photos, and in 2019, we began offering our location as a photography venue as well. We Love Photography! Photographers are offered an exclusive opportunity (no overbooking) for sessions in each of our backdrop areas. They include the rope swing, vintage barns, pond, wild flower area, woodsy tree spaces and posing with our vintage 50 model Chevy farm truck. Our horse models are also available as a background or in photos. Please message us for rates and availability! Multiple props and backgrounds available across the farm! We do Christmas trees differently here. Our variable Texas weather is more than challenging for growing Christmas trees, and there have been years of drought and pestilence. Our trees are sprayed sparingly each year to keep dangerous pesticides out of our environment- and fewer chemicals on the tree you bring in your home. Likewise, our trees are trimmed and shaped by hand...no gas powered trimmers...which creates a more natural looking tree...no cookie cutter shaped trees on our farm! We think you'll appreciate and love the difference this special attention gives them. Plan your visit on the Friday after Thanksgiving! Trees are shown by appointment so please call to reserve a time with us. 817 313 4977

The Angel Path Name-There are Angels among us. The name Angel Path was inspired from a painting my sister, Susan, painted many years ago. It depicts a little girl riding a horse with an angel walking beside her. Susan was an artist and taught at Burleson’s High School until her death in 1998. Her best paintings depicted angels in varying scenes of nature and usually included all types of critters, forest animals and trees. Our tree farm started as an impossible dream. Lots of people explained why a raising Christmas trees in Texas was not a good idea, but so many things about the success of our tree farm cannot be explained. Looking back over the past ten years, there were many times we had given up trying to save each of the 300 or more seedlings we planted every year. I prayed more than once for God to water and take care of them…we just couldn’t do all that needed to be done. And they've thrived! Each year when the time comes to cut some of them, we have a difficult decision. Let a family cut and enjoy one of our trees for a short Christmas season? Or leave them to house the wildlife and birds that feed and raise their young in the evergreen of the 300 or so trees on the farm. It’s one of the reasons we don’t spray our trees with colorants and use limited pesticides. We also use organic fertilizer on our fields and pasture. In my mind, what we do is important environmentally and possibly even spiritually, giving those who visit an emotional lift. The word sanctuary best describes the feeling of peace when you stroll through the small “forest” of trees. It takes just a small amount of imagination to envision angels on the same path where we walk. We hope you enjoy your time at Angel Path Christmas Tree Farm.

Our Story

Angel Path Christmas Tree Farm began as a wish for families to join together and enjoy the selection of a "homegrown" Christmas tree, without the commercialism that surrounds this beloved tradition. Our farm was named after the owner's sister, Susan Lauderback, who passed away in 2000. Susan was a gifted painter and artist who loved children, nature and animals. A very godly woman, Susan believed strongly in the power and protection of angels and her beautiful paintings depicted scenes of their guidance. It seemed fitting to plant our trees in her honor as she would have loved watching them grow into symbols of the beautiful season of Christ’s birth.

Each tree that grows at Angel Path is nurtured and grown with care. We strive to keep our fields as natural as possible - limiting the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Our trees are not cookie cutter perfect. Each tree is hand shaped and will have imperfections that make them special and unique. It's our hope that the Angel Path Christmas tree you choose will bless your family during this special time of the year.

Angel Path Christmas Tree Farm is now open year- round for PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS! Times are appointment only - $45 per hour- 2 hour minimum. Please call to schedule your appointment for photography in our tree or wild flower fields (817)313-4977.

Each year we are open to the public for choose and cut trees. Trees are shown by appointment AFTER THANKSGIVING. We sell a limited number of trees each year to assure a beautiful backdrop of trees can be enjoyed by everyone.
