Take Precaution : Household Plants That Are Poisonous To Pets.

Some of the most beautiful plants in your garden are quietly dangerous to your dog or cat. 🐾

Pets explore with their mouths — and a few common garden favorites can cause anything from a sick stomach to organ failure. Worth knowing which ones:

- DEADLY — keep well away from pets:
• Lily — fatal to CATS even in tiny amounts (pollen and vase water count too)
• Foxglove — affects the heart; all parts toxic
• Oleander — extremely toxic, even dried leaves
• Sago palm — seeds cause liver failure in dogs
• Autumn crocus — organ damage; often confused with harmless crocus

- TOXIC — cause vomiting and distress:
• Azalea / rhododendron
• Daffodil bulbs (the bulbs are the worst part)
• Tulip bulbs

If you have curious pets, plant these where they can't reach — or skip them entirely. Dogs especially love to dig up and chew bulbs.

If your pet chews any of these, call your vet or a pet poison line immediately. Don't wait for symptoms.
