Ever notice how the “thumping” changes during a MagnaWave session?

Tight, restricted muscles often show a stronger visible response at the beginning of a session. As circulation improves and the muscles begin to relax, that movement often becomes softer and less pronounced.

It’s one of the many things I watch during a session as the horse settles in and releases tension. Every horse responds a little differently, but seeing those changes can be incredibly rewarding.

And of course, my favorite signs are the yawns, licking, chewing, droopy lips, and sleepy eyes that often follow.

Why do I still treat the legs during a full-body MagnaWave session? 🐴⚡

One question I get asked is why I spend extra time on the legs when I’ve already completed a full-body PEMF session.

PEMF travels throughout the body, which is one of the reasons I love it. However, the lower limbs are made up primarily of tendons, ligaments, joints, and connective tissue rather than large muscle groups. These structures absorb an incredible amount of stress every day, whether a horse is competing, trail riding, or simply moving around the pasture.

That’s why I like to finish sessions with quick spot treatments on each leg. It allows me to give a little extra attention to areas that work hard and are commonly affected by daily wear and tear.

Every horse is different, and every session is tailored to that horse’s individual needs. Sometimes those few extra minutes can make a big difference
