We are SO proud of Sulley ! ! Sulley is a past graduate of our program and he has just blossomed since he was adopted by Grace and Lino. Sulley was found in a fracking camp out west....very thin and very shy and withdrawn. No socialization at all. Grace and Lino adopted Sulley and then brought him to us. Grace and Lino put their heart and soul into training Sulley and helping him to overcome his past. Now....this stunning , beautiful boy helped safe an elderly neighbor, Ed. I am printing Grace's account of this incident.
" Once again, I am saying thank you for your excellent training of our large, white bear. One morning this summer, Sulley was very restless after his morning walk. He kept bugging Lino, wanting to go for another walk. Being the softies we are, he obliged and they started on another excursion up the hill toward Sulley's best friend, Mr. Ed's house. He is our 84 year old neighbor. Sulley was determined that he wanted to walk toward Mr. Ed.s . He kept pulling and leading toward Ed's house. Normally, he walks beautifully, but this time he wanted to go right up towards the house. Sulley was determined to get to Mr.. Ed's house FAST ! Lino looks over to Ed's front yard and finds him lying on the sidewalk with blood everywhere. His knee gave out and he fell on the sidewalk hitting his head on the rocks that border his garden. he knocked himself out . Lino and Sulley run up to Mr. Ed. He is passed out cold. Lino calls out his name and Sulley starts licking the side of his face. Mr. Ed opened his eyes to find Sulley licking his face and pawing him to wake up. Needless to say, Mr. Ed ended up going to the hospital with a huge cut above his eye, a black eye, bruises everywhere and a mild concussion. We wonder how long Ed was down and how long he would have laid there if Sulley didn't insist on going up to Ed's house. His hero instincts and love of his friend made all the difference. As we waited for the ambulance, Sulley would not take his eyes off of Ed. He was so concerned and actually cried when they took Ed away in the ambulance. He spent the reminder of the day watching Ed's house and looking for him. His kindness for his friend was unreal. He was so upset !Fortunately...Ed is kind of OK. Using a cane now, but still stopping to see Sulley even though he struggles to walk. Without your patience and direction in training, Sulley would not be the kind, loving dog that he is. We are so proud of him ! ! And we thank you guys every day ! ! ! @ He's truly protects the people he loves ! He is definitely not the dog we started with ! ! ! ! "
Grace and Lino....once again, we are Sooo proud of Sulley and of you who put the work in to change him.
Love you Sulley Bear ! !
