ls slope to tree-lined Onion Creek affording opportunities to trail ride, stroll with a friend, or even catch a fish on a quiet afternoon. Horses enjoy daily turnout, a customized training program, memory foam stall mattresses, and regular rides in the large outdoor arena and riding field. Monarch Stables trainers Kalli Smith and Amy Gangstad work together to provide a coordinated training program for each horse and rider. Both trainers emphasize the importance of correct flat work in developing finished show horses and skillful child and adult riders. Each brings years of experience and her own style to teaching horsemanship and hunt seat equitation skills to all levels and ages of riders.

Goodbye to Katy until September… 👋 Monarch Stables had a great final Spring Show at Fiesta Classic. It was fun to have so many great combinations compete with us last week.
Here’s a big shout out to our Fiesta Classic Champions:
🏆 Dana Dettmer was Champion in the Adult Equitation Division, Monarch Stables’ Sainted was Champion in the Opportunity Poles Division, Optimal Hastak was Champion in the .85 Jumpers, Calisto FHZ was Champion in the USHJA Hunter Division. 👏 Reserve Champions included Monarch Stables Sainted in the 2’ USHJA, Pride Van De Schemmersberg in the Hopeful Hunters, Brook Adler in the Adult Equitation Division, Wesley Whitworth in the Junior Equitation Division, and our new team Memphis Belle and Bella Schwarz in the Weekend Jumpers. 🙌

🥇🥈🥉 Other highlights included Josephine Hodson’s win in the 3’3” Jumpseat Medal with Wesley Whitworth right behind her in 2nd. Stephanie Webb raced to 3rd in an exciting Low Child/Adult Jumper Classic riding Optimal Hastak.

Monarch Stables had a fantastic week at the Round Up Horse Show in Katy! 🦋 Thanks to everyone who came to ride with us and big congratulations to:
Peanut Butter Falcon and Josephine Hodson who were awarded Champion in the 3’3” Junior Hunter Division. 🏆Isabel Arnold also took home tricolors with her rides on Sainted- Champion Opportunity Poles and Berlinka Reserve Champion Opportunity Poles and Opportunity xrails! 🏆Jamie Smithson and her own Wrenly were Reserve Champion in a competitive Adult Hunter Division and took home second in the Adult Hunter Classic. 🥈 Katherine Dixon won the Mini Medal. 🥇 Carlysle Drosos rode King Snake to a second place finish in the 1.35 Junior Jumper Classic on Sunday. 🥈
