Zoosiana Zoosiana is where the good times ROAR! A 45-acre zoological park delivering wild family fun. Zoosiana has been a staple for family fun in Acadiana for 30 years!

Stretching across 42 acres, Zoosiana offers the spirit of adventure right here at home. Stroll along the bamboo-shaded pathways to see and learn about amazing animals like giraffes, lions, birds, reptiles, tigers, monkeys, and of course, alligators! Fun for the whole family, explore more from the Safari Express Train, go wild on the Jungle Lodge Playground, and find new treasures at the Gem Mine.

Open 9 am to 5 pm daily, weather permitting. Conveniently located at the intersection of Highway 90 and Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Broussard, Louisiana. For more than 30 years, the communities throughout the Acadiana and southwest Louisiana areas have cherished and grown with the zoo. From humble beginnings as a small menagerie in the early 1990s to today’s accredited zoological park, Zoosiana – Zoo of Acadiana continues to proudly connect guests to the natural world through a strong commitment to education, conservation, and up-close-and-personal, pure excitement. Zoosiana employs about 25 people and provides daily care to all of its animals. The numerous education programs demonstrate the importance of the world’s animals and show that everyone can do a small part to help make the world a better place that will continue to include animals.

What better way to express our appreciation for “Team Zoosiana” and say thank you after a great spring season than with a crawfish boil! From guest services to animal care, attractions and maintenance, it takes an entire team to make Zoosiana the place where the good times roar 🦁

Half a year of Cabrini 💛🦒 Our growing girl is officially 6 months old, so we’re celebrating with some “half” facts about her journey so far:
🦒Right now, about half of Cabrini’s diet still comes from milk, while the other half includes leaves, browse, and other foods she’s learning to enjoy. 🌿
🦒 She’s already reached 8ft in height! Which is half as tall as Gabriel (her grandpa)
🦒 Some days, Cabrini spends half her time staying close to mom, Josie, for comfort and confidence, while the other half is spent exploring her habitat with growing independence.
🦒 Like most young giraffes, she can spend nearly half her day eating or practicing browsing behaviors… and the rest resting, playing, and growing.

In just 6 months, Cabrini has grown into a curious, confident young giraffe — and we can’t wait to watch what the next half year brings.
