Recently, I received some heartbreaking news about someone who became incredibly special to me and my family.
Out of respect for her and her family's privacy, I'm going to keep her identity private. But I've spent a lot of time recently thinking about her, and about something this business has given me that I don't talk about nearly enough.
She came into my life as a complete stranger.
She trusted me with her dog for my very first Board & Train, at a time when Corsetti K9 was really nothing more than a name, an idea, and me taking a chance on myself.
There weren't reviews to reassure her. There wasn't a polished social media page or years of Corsetti K9 success stories to look through. I didn't even have business cards yet.
She just trusted me.
And somewhere along the way, that complete stranger became one of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders. She supported my business, spoiled my family, even gave my family Christmas gifts, celebrated our successes, and became someone who meant far more to us than I ever could have imagined when we first met.
Honestly, she became almost like another grandma to our family, and I don't think I ever told her that....
Over this last year of running Corsetti K9 full time, I've realized that this is one of the most beautiful parts of what I get to do.
When someone chooses Corsetti K9, I don't just see another client or another dog on my schedule. You're trusting something that has my name on it. You're trusting me with a member of your family, supporting something I've built from the ground up, and in turn, supporting my family and the life we've built around it.
That means more to me than I probably do a good enough job of expressing.
Some people come into my life as complete strangers because they need help with their dog, and somehow they end up becoming friends, supporters, cheerleaders, and sometimes even family.
She was one of those people.
She was also one of the first people who gave me the confidence that maybe taking this chance on myself and building Corsetti K9 was the right decision.
I'll forever be grateful for that.
So today I'm just reminded how much I genuinely care about the people who choose to trust me, support me, and put their faith in my name and this business.
I don't take any of you for granted.
And to one of the people who believed in me before there was much of a Corsetti K9 to believe in...

You meant more to me and my family than you probably ever knew.
