I just started raising chickens July 2014. I started with 2 Silkies & 2 frizzled bantam Cochins and of course, with chicken math, I have a whole lot more now.

Tri-State poultry show
Silkie eastern national meet
Our white pullet Slushie (624) won Reserve variety & 3rd best silkie with 215 silkies present. Also placed 2nd & 3rd place white pullets.
Buff silkie hens placed 1-3 with Leila (1668) getting best variety & yellow 7 reserve variety. 24 buffs shown.
Champion Aoccl was our pullet 1308 and reserve breed was our 6 year old hen Penny 💕
Congratulations to everyone today, there were a lot of beautiful silkies!
Oh, and Larry won another year of poultry press! 🙌

Up at 3am & over to the Western Reserve poultry show.
Our bantam Polish won Champion Aoccl & Reserve Aoccl (1308/Red 16)
Large fowl Polish won Best & Reserve Continental, but we were the only ones showing in the class
Reserve Feather leg with a bearded white pullet “Slushie” 624
Best & reserve variety buff silkies 1668 Leila & 2230 Lyla
I did pretty good in the raffles too, I won bantam Ameraucana eggs & an awesome show box ♥️
Also left the show for Raising Cane’s & Larry dropped me off at Gabe’s while he ran to Sam’s. I couldn’t pass up a chicken blanket!
All in all a good day for Bantam Bungalow 😊

This weather is just plain ignorant 😆. We’ll be at the Butler TSC later this morning trying to find homes for 3 white Silkie boys, several golden comet pullets, 2 white leghorn pullets & 5 sapphire gem pullets if anyone local is interested. We’ll probably pack some eating eggs to bring along too

Thank you to all who bought birds from us at the Maryland swap today & those that popped in to say hello that we don’t see often! We had a great day and the rain held off long enough. ♥️🐓
