Still need the City of Broken Arrow to do a final inspection.

Update: The plumbers will do their final (hopefully) work this Thursday and Friday. And then the inspection!
Our cat cafe has a retro vibe that I hope people enjoy. Here are a few of the cats enjoying a cat entertainment VHS tape. Canary, the calico, is a future couch potato. She continued watching the TV even after the tape quit playing!

I would like to give a shout out to StreetCats Inc. of Tulsa! Today was my first day visiting their boutique and cat rescue. It is so nice! They have cat themed t-shirts, books, bags, jewelry, pictures, dish towels, etc. The cats are darling and have their own rooms where people can visit them. It was such a joy to see their rescue!
My cats were happy, too! I brought them home a handmade catnip pillow. ($5) You can tell by the way my cat's acted that it is filled with some premium catnip!

Update: I am hoping to get the name of a plumber (licensed with the City of Broken Arrow) today from a new contact. The previous plumber I used has sustained a back injury. The plumber I had planned to use is involved in an intense plumbing project. After the plumbing requirements are complete, I will set a final inspection. Then opening day!
While waiting, I enjoy keeping the cats enriched. Having children interacting with the cats will acclimate them to a home with children. Having a dog visit will let them experience a four-legged creature other than a cat. It is so fun to see which cats are the playful ones, the shy ones, the cuddlers, etc.
"Time spent with cats is never wasted."( Not sure who really said it, but I believe it is true!)

Upate: Electrician has completed his work and now waiting on plumber.
Even though we are not open for business, I do enjoy when people stop by to visit the cats.
I know it will be even more exciting when we finally open!

Oh, happy day! Toodles, (and her name is staying Toodles), found a wonderful home with a sweet young couple.

Quick update: Still waiting on second estimates from another plumber and electrician.
The right side flush handle toilet was delivered. Yay!
Friday was an extra special day! Even though we have not officially opened, I had been asked if some summer campers from The Center could come for a visit. It was beautiful to see how the children and cats interacted. So calm and gentle. The children even made some colorful cat toys out of empty toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls. I put cat treats and cat toys inside as they suggested, for "animal enrichment." I will always remember this lovely day!

Update: 2 plumbers came to The Chat last week to give me estimates on the remaining requirements. I received an estimate from one plumber and expect an estimate from the other plumber this week. My new right side flush handle toilet will arrive this week as well.
While I wait, I continue to enjoy these precious kitties. Some are very playful. Some are laid back. Some can be a bit spicy. I envision who will adopt Henry. Or Toodles . Or Bam Bam. Or Jesse. It will be a win-win all the way around!

With Indepence Day celebrations upon us, be watchful over your fur babies. This is the first July 4th for our younger kitties. I am adding some Calming Care to their food and giving them extra attention and cuddles this week.

Does anyone know of someone with a toilet for sale that has the flush handle on the right side? I found one on Marketplace, but the seller never responded. I thought I would reach out here before going to Amazon.
On a different note, every time I look at Lucy, I see Toothless from How to Train your Dragon. Does anybody else think so?

While continuing to work on requirements in order to open, please welcome Jesse.
Jesse is a beautiful longhair calico. She enjoys being held, petted and brushed. I will be moving her into the Cat Lounge soon. It will be fun to watch her find her favorite spot to hang out.
