Cleaning up the last of the stuck shed and this guy did great. Didn't even try to bite while putting him in the water or taking him out after his soak. Also had to check on the African house snake eggs.....looking good!

I'm so excited. While doing a life check and headcount of the baby dunes, I found an egg. I don't think it is fertile, but it is still crazy that one of them laid an egg. Our 1st baby hatched on July 20, so they really aren't very old. We currently have 15 babies. Laurie

A huge thank you to everyone that came out and supported us in Joplin, MO this past weekend. We have done well in Joplin in the past but we seriously considered skipping this show due to a lack of a great number of animals. However, we decided why the heck not and did it anyway. And you guys turned out and made it worth it for sure. So thank you!!! I also want to give a huge shout-out to our dear friends at Closet Herping for helping us out with a few extra things for our table. Y'all are the best and we love y'all! Well, with the good news comes the sad news that we are officially done with shows for this season.
Thank you to everyone that has supported us this year! You guys are the real MVPs for us! We appreciate each and every one of you! We will see this coming year and may see some of you around shows before then as we always try to come out and support our friends and the hobby by attending shows as customers whenever we aren't vending. Lots of great things coming this next year from Kelty's Colubrids including new species and hopefully the ability to vend more shows throughout the year. Keep an eye out on our page for updates on our breeding projects and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!❤️

Setup and ready to roll here in Joplin! Come out and see us! Lots of variety today and lots of great vendors.

2026 pairing #7

Another new species for us this year is these California king snakes. We are really excited to add a little more variety to our offerings this season.

Betty (reverse wide stripe) (produced by TSK) x Popeye (reverse wide stripe) (produced by TSK)

Betty is a 2020 proven female with some great coloration. She has just a few white spots on her back but has a great wide stripe.

Popeye is a 2022 unproven male but just check out his pattern. He has a nice wide stripe that completely unbroken.

These are some great looking snakes and being king snakes, they love their food. Our female likes to tail rattle but any hatchlings should tame down just fine with a little handling like most babies. Another great species for new and experienced owners due to their reasonable size and love of food.

2026 pairing #6

This is a new species for us this year and we are very excited to be producing these. These are rosy boas and one of the only two types of boas (but four species - 2 rosy boas and 2 rubber boas) native to the continental United States. These are different from our other species as these snakes give live birth rather than laying eggs that need to be incubated externally.

Rosy (non-specific locale) (obtained from Adam's Pet Shop) x Gritty (non-specific locale) (obtained from La Habra Exotics Online)

Rosy is a pickup from our friend Adam from Adam's Pet Shop. Not much is known about her but we are estimating her to be about 4-5 years old. We dont believe that she has been bred before and are not sure of her locality.

Gritty was picked up from La Habra Exotics Online this year in order to pair with Rosy. He is a known proven breeder but from an unknown locale . He is thought to be about 7 years old.

These are an awesome little boa species with some great appetites. They can be a little bitey but it is due to their aggressive appetite. They just really like to eat. We are super excited to be able to produce these animals as not many are seen at the local expos.

Twas the night before Thanksgiving, none of these snakes are eating not even a mouse. The first round of brumations are about to commence. 17 are shown here but there are two more that will be joining them soon (one is about to shed and the other....well, I accidently fed her last week so she gets a couple more weeks before going to sleep). They are off heat and will be moved to the brumation fridge next week for their long winter's nap. See you all in the spring with lots of mice so bring your appetites!

I did not catch that he was going into shed therefore, I did not up humidity so we had a not so great shed. Little dude was not appreciative AT ALL for my help. Just about got it all but needs one more soak to get belly scales off. I just love his coloration right now with the blue and yellow touches.

We are vending the Joplin Show me reptile show on Thanksgiving weekend. Have nothing going on and need to get out of the house or away from family for a bit 😂😂? Come out and see us along with all the other vendors. We still have a few hognose snakes available but be sure you have your permit with you (MO residents). Looking forward to a fun weekend full of reptiles and awesome people!

Thank you Neosho! We appreciate everyone that came out to the show this weekend! While not the greatest sales weekend, we had a blast seeing all the people that came out and visiting with our bestest of friends! All shows can't be homeruns (sales-wise) but still a very enjoyable weekend! We will see you again next time Neosho! Also want to give a HUGE shoutout to our dear friends and the show promoters, Blake Wooten and Megan Wooten! Y'all did a bang up job and we very much appreciate you both along with all your helpers in putting this show together!

Come on out to Neosho and see! Lots of great vendors here and cool species.
