BARC Rescue Oklahoma

BARC Rescue Oklahoma A Charity, 501(c)3 Animal Rescue, Providing Lifesaving Rescues For At Risk Pets. No animal deserves to be turned away without help.

Please help us save as many as possible by donating at barcrescue.org ~ Venmo: Together we can save them all! Broken Arrow Rescue Community (“BARC”), is a nonprofit, no-kill, volunteer dog rescue organization serving the homeless pets of Oklahoma. At BARC, we strive to rescue homeless pets regardless of the circumstance, but place great emphasis on saving shelter pets in danger of bei

ng euthanized. Once rescued, we undertake a rigorous process to find our pets a permanent home with a loving, responsible and committed family. To do so, we utilize a comprehensive adoption process that includes vetting the potential adopters as well as educating potential adopters on the responsibilities/seriousness of pet ownership. By doing so, we hope to ensure our pets will never have to face the situation that lead them to us in the first place. All animals in our care are spayed and neutered and receive any and all necessary veterinarian treatment and are placed in nurturing foster homes until they are ready to find their forever home. At BARC, it is our mission to provide unwavering care and treatment for all animals, regardless of age, breed or other characteristics. Furthermore, we remain committed to the well-being of our rescued pets even beyond the adoption process. To accomplish our goal of providing homeless and at need animals with a second chance, we strive to continuously foster relationships with area shelters and other rescue organizations to develop the network of support necessary to make our mission of providing a better life to pets in need an attainable goal. Barc Broken Arrow Rescue Corp. is a 501(c)(3) animal rescue group, incorporated Feb. 15, 2017.

Update All the dogs are with fosters and safe‼️
Thank you all who have donated to make this happen. Donations are still welcome. This will be an expensive intake. It’s hard to understand the work that goes into it behind the scenes. It’s amazing how many people pulled together to make this happen and opened their homes. I’ll update everyone tomorrow. I can’t thank you all enough. There are some cases you can’t say no, and this was one.

🆘 URGENT 🚨
We were made aware of a situation of Puppies living in these conditions with just one mom Dog.
“Donations needed for medical needs”
(Mom dog is 10 months old, just a puppy herself)

Squatters lived in the home, then abandoned them. They are out of any city jurisdiction for a shelter to help.
These dogs will not survive without our help.😔
There are six puppies. They are old enough and can be can be split up. We will not
leave Mom dog or any of them behind.

(I have been looking for a brick and mortar Shelter for more room)

(All the other rescues have been asked)

Please message the page if you can foster one or any.
Please share….
Videos of the conditions are in the comments.

February 2016 I started an animal rescue in Broken Arrow Oklahoma.
Over the last ten years, 1000’s of animals and families have benefited from our cause in Oklahoma, and as far as Kansas, Missouri, and Texas.
Will you help me raise funds for bills this month and next month.
Every penny donated goes towards keeping up with shelter cost, food, cleaning supplies, and vet bills.
Having the basic necessities covered month to month is a huge weight off my shoulders.

Will you please like and share this fundraiser too?
They need us more than ever!
Thank you!

CAUTION ⚠️ VERY DISTURBING
I’m not sharing the video. You can look it up.
Charges are pending on this person in Texas.
I’m sharing the story because this is the reality of buying puppy mill dogs.
This is what they do with dogs when they’re done breeding or they won’t produce.
This one is especially cruel, they don’t die instantly, it’s not a humane death.
All these people only care about is money,
They won’t even spend a $100 on a humane euthanasia when they’re done using them after making so much money off the dogs.
They won’t use their profits for medical care or daily care.
As a rescue, I have rescued dogs that have been shot and survived.
I have rescued dogs that came out of places like this and watched other dogs die this way.
I can’t put into words the trauma they have.
The dogs that have been through this are the hardest for rescues and families to rehabilitate.
Rescues want to save them from this, (there are alot who do) when we relieve them, they go get more breeding dogs.
This should be illegal!
Breeders should have to have a license.
There should be accountability for the way they treat them and how they dispose of them.

🦮This is the end year tax giving incentives. 🦮
Even just $1
We could finish the year strong and hit the ground running in 2026
How great would that be!
(All Donations are tax deductible)
It’s the final day of the year.
It also helps us go in to 2026 debt free. 🐾
If you have employee matches, it’s double donations. 🎉
We can help more strays like Holly.

Financial & Tax Incentives
Tax Deductions: Donating by December 31st allows donors to claim deductions, reducing their taxable income for the year.
Financial Planning: Year-end is a common time to review finances, use unexpected bonuses, or utilize appreciated stock for giving, maximizing tax benefits.
Employer Matching: Employees often donate at year-end to get their contributions matched by their employers, doubling the impact.

Oliver is still looking for his forever home. 🥺
I can not believe he’s still available.
He’s been a little spoiled at his fosters and temp fosters when Pam goes out of town. He loves his lammy. ❤️
We all love him sooo much!

Its paid!! Thank you!!!

Would anyone be willing to pick up the tab for the storage payment for a month? 🐾

(This is where we keep all our supplies, crates and dog food)
I had to move it out of the garage a couple months ago to be able to clean.
I’ll move it back soon.
A few good Samaritans helped with paying off our vet bill past month.
Thank you!!! 🦮❤️🎉
It takes a village! 🦮

**Dear friends and community,**

I hope you are doing well and enjoying the holidays.
I have to share that this month has been particularly challenging for the rescue financially, and I’m currently short on rent and bills at the dog house. These times of difficulty will not deter me, it makes my passion for animal rescue even stronger, and I need to continue to care for the animals in need.

If you’re able to help, any support—whether through donations, sharing this message, or offering advice—would mean the world to me. Your kindness can make a real difference in keeping me and the animals afloat during this tough time.

Thank you so much for your compassion and support! Together, we can continue making a positive impact on our furry friends’ lives.

Jamie and the BARC Rescue Pete

Here’s some more amazing news!!! 🥺❤️
Bebe was adopted today too🎉
This is an amazing family has adopted before from BARC, we know the incredible life she’s going to have.
I’m so happy for her. 🎉🎉🎉
Her foster is one of the best in the state.
Please show Crystal some love in the comments 👇💕
Thank you, Crystal, without your help, we couldn’t have saved her when she was sick, abandoned on the streets at four months old. 😢
You helped her beat Parvo! I’m forever grateful you said “yes” and let me know she wasn’t feeling right.
It takes a village. We are all so proud to be part of her happy story.
Thank you for loving her for “seven” months like she was your own.
Letting go is the hardest, especially the ones like her, when you bond so hard and have them longer than you should have to. I’m sorry you are heartbroken tonight, letting her go to save another is the ultimate sacrifice in rescue.
I know you’re happy for her too.
Thank you, much love from all of us. 😘

We have two great stories to share…. 🎉
(The other one is in the works)

This is about Mia….
She has been in rescue for over a year. The sweetest pup, she was left all alone on the side of the road. She has been in foster for over a year.
We thought we had a possible meet and greet when her foster decided to keep her forever.
I’m so happy she won’t be moving homes.
She found her people afterall.
Live your best life Mia!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! 💕
