Tink (Gold/Tan color, Amber eyes, 3yrs old, spayed female, 62lbs) and Cassidy (Grey/Tan Brindle, 2 yrs old, spayed female, 32 lbs) have arrived and are both the sweetest girls. They both are listening very well from the start, and learning the routine and doggy door and everything quickly.
Tink is absolutely beautiful, her coat is so pretty and soft and her eyes are the most amazing Amber color. Tink would love a buddy to play with or a family to play with toys and go for walks/hikes. She is so happy and funny when she's playful, she likes to grab a toy, toss it around, galloping around and catching it. I'm trying to get a video of it. She's very submissive and playful with the other dogs. Sadly most of the other dogs we have right now aren't super playful, I feel bad
Cassidy is slowly coming out of her shell. She is very, very sweet and gentle. She is beautiful gray with a light tan brindle and she's definitely on the tiny side.
She is a bit timid right now likes to curl up the raised bed and chew a bone, she is loving the big marrow bones and rib bones. She just went through a full heartworm treatment so that could be part of why she's a little more reserved I don't know if she's not fully recovered she also was just spayed before she came to us so she could just be recovering plus some dogs have a harder time settling in than others and she could be overwhelmed with the other dogs she seems to get a little bit shy when it comes to loud noises or voices she's definitely on the tiny side and I don't know how long she was at the shelter but I have a feeling she may have been found in pretty rough condition but she is doing great, she eats really well, she enjoys gentle affection. She does shy away from affection and people at first, again she may have been with some bad people or abandoned I dk.
Saturday will be a week we've had her so it's still early. As of right now I would say a calmer environment would be best for her but I'm sure she will come out of her shell over the next few weeks once she feels settled and safe.
These sweethearts are waiting for their forever families to find them and in the mean time foster homes would be great! Remember, we provide food, all supplies and necessities when you foster. It costs you nothing, just provide a safe temporary home and some love!
