Gus 🐾

Super friendly, loves people, and honestly just a happy guy… but he’s got a lot of feelings 😅 Especially on leash when he sees other dogs, charging, barking, pulling, and completely checked out from his handler.

Not aggressive at heart just overwhelmed and doesn’t know how to handle it.

Right now we’re working on calm, controlled leash work, better communication, and teaching him how to think instead of react when he sees other dogs.

learning how to feel those feelings without losing his mind 👏🏼

Chloe 🐾

This girl is sweet, eager, and ready to gooo… all the time 😅 She came in pulling on the leash, jumping, and struggling to settle, always looking for what’s next instead of being able to just be.

Not a bad dog at all, in fact very sweet! She just has a busy mind and no off switch.

Right now we’re working on slowing her down, creating better leash habits, and teaching her how to actually relax instead of living in constant motion.

Same dog… just learning how to turn it down 👏🏼

Bentley 🐾

One year old Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger opinion about the world 😅 He came in anxious when he can hear people but can’t see them, barking to control situations, pulling hard on walks, and always on the hunt for something to steal and make his own.

Sweet, curious, and honestly a fun dog… he just hasn’t known how to settle.

Right now we’re working on building calm, clear structure, and teaching him he doesn’t need to be “on” all the time. Slowing him down, creating better walk habits, and helping him exist in the home without feeling like he has to manage everything.

Same dog… just learning a new way to move through the world 👏🏼

Everything starts at home in low distraction!

This is what we mean when we say dog training is a lifestyle! Tricks are fun but they aren’t the heart of it!

Getting a puppy is supposed to feel exciting.
And it is.

But a lot of people are surprised by how quickly it can also feel loud, chaotic, and… a little overwhelming.

That doesn’t mean you’re failing.
And it definitely doesn’t mean your puppy is “bad.”

Most of the families I work with are trying really hard.
They’re loving, consistent, and doing their best with the advice they’ve been given.

What’s usually missing isn’t effort.
It’s structure.

And no one really talks about that part early enough.

If you’re in that stage right now, you’re not alone.
And it doesn’t have to stay this hard.

If your dog is still wild after the walk, the toy, the playdate… it’s not about more activity, it’s about missing structure.

Calm doesn’t happen by accident. It’s taught, practiced, and earned through the daily rhythm you build together.

Less chaos. More clarity. That’s where the magic happens.

🐾 Graduate Spotlight: Cooper! 🐾

This fluffy boy started in our Puppy Head Start program and just wrapped up his time in our Adult Dog Program Ultimate Family Pet and what a transformation!

When Cooper first arrived, he was your typical young pup: curious, wild, and very used to doing his own thing. But with some structure, lots of clear communication, and a whole lot of reps, this guy is now calm, focused, and choosing to check in with his person instead of every distraction around him.

His mom was amazed at how tuned in he was and honestly, so was I! He is one smart dude! Watching dogs shift from “I do what I want” energy to thoughtful, connected behavior never gets old. 💛

Cooper’s now rocking down time, walking calmly on leash, and giving his family the gift of peace at home (and on walks!). Big things ahead for this sweet guy and I couldn’t be prouder.

✨ GRADUATE SPOTLIGHT ✨

Sweet Wren the Cavapoo just wrapped up her time with me, and wow—this girl showed up and put in the work 💪🏼

When Wren started, she was overwhelmed by the world around her. Lots of barking at strangers, big feelings around her older housemate, and a whole lotta “I’m not so sure about this” energy when it came to new things. But her mom showed up with an open heart and total commitment to building confidence, boundaries, and communication 🫶🏼

Now? Wren is walking with intention, decompressing like a pro, and learning to trust instead of react. She’s more thoughtful, more engaged, and her mom can actually see the calm coming through. Hearing her say “this changed our home” is the BEST kind of feedback.

Congrats Wren and Colleen—proud is an understatement 🐾💛
