Had to stop at my storage unit to retrieve alllllll of my stashed “grad school gold” because my 2nd research project is back in motion! We already had a couple dogs go through the study, and are actively enrolling more!

I cannot wait to publish this important work and to share it with the dog community! 🪟

My buddy struggles with “leash reactivity” aka biiiiiiiiig feelings about dogs when restrained! His family & I had a really in-depth conversation about all things behavior change, and we are excited to help him develop better coping strategies!

Say hi to my new besties for the month of May 😍

Stella (right) is enrolled in Homeschool, and her brother Finley is of course a part of her life so he gets to be her shadow for some of our goals.

One of those goals is coming when called 🙃

Stella was understandably nervous and unsure when her and I first left the house alone….but she quickly realized there was no pressure to interact with me. We spent time tossing snacks into the grass for “sniffari” to check if she could eat (not eating=overwhelm!), and meandered around together quietly. After awhile, she became comfortable enough to play and seek interaction. 🩷

What a privilege to earn a dogs trust, and connection.
