Over the last week, we said goodbye to several of our favorite patients and one very charming client. It has been a sad, heartbreaking week. Just to remind us that even in moments of grief He is always by our side, this was the scene when we left work yesterday.

One of our sweetest fur babies passed yesterday. She was almost 14 years old. Every single time she came in, she greeted everyone here like they were her best friends. Most pets do not love coming to see the vet. Not Ella. For Ella, it is just one big, happy adventure. We sure are going to miss that joyful expression and the bouncy tippy taps. Please keep her precious family in your thoughts and prayers.

Hercules and two examples of his “furniture arranging”. Every morning I carry extra dog beds back to the garage. Every evening he carries one or two back inside. He drags, fluffs and chews his way to what he considers perfection, then settles in for a nice long nap.

This is Hercules. He is a blue tick c**n hound who likes to rearrange furniture. Most evenings, he brings the outside dog beds inside and piles them up on his inside princess bed. He is a dog, who in his retirement, has learned to appreciate the softer things in life.
