The Part You Don’t Always See ❤️🐾
Raising a litter of puppies is one of the most beautiful and rewarding parts of what we do at Windy Knoll Goldens—but it’s also one of the most emotional.
Behind every happy puppy going home is weeks of sleepless nights, constant cleaning, endless laundry, bottle feeding when needed, watching weights, worrying over every little change, and making sure each puppy is growing, thriving, and getting exactly what they need.
But it’s so much more than the physical work.
We watch them take their first breaths. We celebrate their first meals, their first wobbly steps, their first little barks and tail wags. We watch their personalities begin to emerge and start learning which puppy is the snuggler, which one is the explorer, which one is the troublemaker, and which one would happily stay in your lap all day. 🥹
And then comes the part that is both exciting and heartbreaking, letting them go.
By the time our puppies leave Windy Knoll, they aren't just puppies we raised. We have spent countless hours caring for them, holding them, talking to them, watching them sleep, worrying over them, and loving them.
So when families pick up their puppies, they aren't simply taking home a dog.
They are taking home a little piece of our heart❤️ In the future I'd love to share more photos of our puppies grown up! If you have a WKG puppy send us some photos and a little bit about them and I'd love to share it!
We do everything we can to give our puppies the strongest start possible—not just physically, but emotionally and socially too. We want them to leave us confident, well-loved, and ready to begin the next chapter of their lives with their forever families.
And while saying goodbye is never easy, there is something incredibly special about watching them leave our home and knowing they are going to be **so deeply loved.**
That is why we do what we do.
For the late nights.
For the messy floors.
For the endless laundry.
For the happy tears.
For the heartbreak of goodbye.
And most of all—for the joy of knowing that these little Golden hearts will bring a lifetime of love to their families. 🐾💛
