Bowie is popping in with his saddest puppy eyes. Why? Because right now, Spirit Sanctuary has just $29,000 left in our account, enough to keep things going for maybe two more months. In the past 11 months alone, we’ve spent over $260,000 making sure every animal here is given the chance to heal, to feel safe, and to know what love truly is.

Every single dollar has gone toward vet care, surgeries, food, hay, shelter repairs, and building safe, warm spaces for the animals who call this sanctuary home. They come to us from all different places. And here, they get to just be animals again. Loved. Safe. Seen.

We’ve put everything into this—including personal savings. And while we’ve applied for grants, they take time. Right now, what we need most is community. But our community expands beyond Boonville. Our community is all of our social media followers, all of the homes and shelters that the dogs once came from.
