The Lucky Puppy Rescue

LPR is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue in Bonifay, FL, with an adoption center in Argyle, NY. We take in approximately 1000 dogs a year.
(567)

All dogs are completely vetted and socialized in hopes of finding forever homes. The Lucky Puppy Rescue is located on a 125 acre family farm in Bonifay, Florida. When new rescue dogs are brought in they are welcomed and cared for in a clean and secure kennel. Our Great Beginnings adoption center is a 15 acre property in Argyle, NY. Days begin in FL with an early morning walk through a combination of woods and pasture and trails. The dogs have ample opportunity for exercise and quite often complete these walks with a splash and swim in the pond. There are lots of chances for quiet naps throughout the day. Usually before doggie dinner is served there is another long walk about the farm to finish off the day. Founder, Teri Mattson will tell you that when she is walking with the pack and watching them play, she often feels that she is the "Lucky" one in this rescue!

I wanted to sing this song .. but Star asked me not to ... she thought that might be a bit more than our followers could handle on a Sunday morning ...

When you wish upon a Star .. makes no difference who you are ... anything your heart desires .. will come to you!!

Like a bolt out of the blue .. Fate steps in and sees you through ... when you wish upon a Star ... your dreams come true!

PLEASE SHARE ... Thanks and Woof Woof!

Showing off Momma Star ... ready and waiting for her forever home. She came to us after delivering a litter of puppies on her own as a stray ... she raised those pups .. then she was spayed and found to be heartworm positive. That caused a longer stay in rescue and some extra medical care ... BUT .. NOW ... all of that is behind her ... and she can start the next chapter ... as soon as she finds the right family!

🐾🎾 Big paws, scruffy looks, and a whole lot of personality! Meet Zoro! 🐶💙

Our Lucky Puppy of the Week is 1.5-year-old Zoro, a fun-loving, playful guy who believes life is better with a ball to chase and an adventure to enjoy! 🥹❤️

Zoro from The Lucky Puppy Rescue is always up for a game of fetch, absolutely loves kids, and gets along well with most dogs! He's also a gentleman on leash, a great car companion, and comfortable in his crate.

Whether it's a fun day outdoors or a road trip with his favorite humans, Zoro is ready to be your loyal sidekick! 🐕💕

Now, all this handsome scruffy boy needs is a forever family to share his adventures with! 🏡❤️

Could Zoro be your new best friend? Get your adoption application in early, or if you're already pre-approved, schedule your meet and greet! 🐾

Attention, Potential Adopters! 🐾❤️
We are featuring some of our pups who have received little to no interest, and we have no idea why!
Spending every day caring for these dogs, our hearts are overwhelmed by just how loving, innocent, and playful they are. It’s heartbreaking to see some of these wonderful dogs growing up in the shelter, waiting for someone to give them a chance.
So, if you are looking to adopt, stop by during our open hours and meet some of these longtime residents who could become your most loyal companions.
Sometimes the best dogs are the ones who have been waiting the longest. ❤️🐶
Open Hours Thursday-Saturday 11-2
511 Pleasant Valley Rd. Argyle, NY

Good Morning... I am setting a goal for myself ... and a challenge for our followers ... I plan to share posts and pictures of Momma Star every single day until she gets adopted! My passion is saving and helping momma dogs ... it's a burning feeling in my gut that makes me continue my rescue efforts despite all the difficulties we live thru.

I would ask all of you .. to help a pup out by doing the same ... share their pictures and stories ... show them off to the world around you .. and don't stop until you see that magical adoption photo!

Thanks and Woof Woof!
