Proverbs 31:25 says she is “clothed with strength and dignity” and “laughs at the days to come”—a bold reminder of a woman’s courage and joy in facing the future.

Coastal Cowgirls Go West — Sponsorship Info

When: July–August
What: Two single, middle-aged women hauling 4 horses from coastal NC out west—riding at stops along the way!

In Arkansas, we are riding Falling Water Horse Camp. Home to many many waterfalls!!

In Cheyenne, WY, we’ll pick up two more Coastal Cowgirls to ride in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade.
Then it’s off to Cody, WY for trail rides and the Cody Nite Rodeo, where two of us will be barrel racing! (We also pick up our youngest Cowgirl who flies in before she heads to college)
Our last stop is South Dakota to ride the Black Hills—just in time for Sturgis Bike Week (we’re hoping for a Harley ride!).

Why?

Because I want too, that simple! It's been a dream of mine since I was 14 to ride in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade! I'm doing it, and sharing with others virtually who are not physically able to live out their horse girls dreams.

We’re proving that women—at any age—can chase their dreams, travel solo (or with horses), and live boldly. Society says we’re too old? You CAN do it as a woman and you’re not too old to live out your little girl dreams Let them talk!

It'd been a cold day in the swamp!

01/15/2025

I am so thankful to be able to do what I love to do. The one thing I've had to learn to balance is Fun and Work. I didn't and don't want to get burnt out with horses. I still want to be able to enjoy them! I guess, I want to have my cake and eat it too.

With that said, I watched daddy retire, get cancer and die at 52 years old. I watched my mama retire, get cancer and die at 70. Neither of them ever smoked or drank. - and cancer gore them.

I have been blessed that I've traveled quite a bit in my 47 years. Mainly, by plane. I dedicated the last year of my life to taking care of mama, and I wouldn't change it for a thing. With Piper leaving for college this summer, I'm already feeling empty inside.

I decided to literally have my cake and eat it too! Last year I started doing paid horse trips. They went great! This year, I have upped the ante and started planning bigger trips out west.

I even have a group of ladies from the UK who are flying in, and I'm taking them on a true American, riding experience! I have another group of ladies who have hired me to take them on a custom 16 day adventure out west this summer! I will be riding in Arkansas, Wyoming, attending Frontier Days, riding and staying in Cody, Wy and even going to ride in South Dakota! We will also be able to catch a couple days of the Bike Rally I'm Sturgis! This is like a dream for me!

Another trip is planned for an Extreme Trail Ride and Music Festival in the mountains of Kentucky!

I've got some smaller extended weekend trips planned along the east coast as well. I absolutely love planning these, and get super excited to explore new land on the back of my horse and learning about different areas! The history, the culture, - it's all so magical to me!

I get to explore the US on the back of my horse, and with my best friend, Millie, my Australian Shepard 🥰

If you would like a custom trip, feel free to reach out! I promise you, its not your normal "nose to tail" ride, and it's an experience you'll never forget. ❤️

TRIP IS NOW FULL

We had full intentions of doing the Chief Joseph Trail Ride. However, they are very late to put out the dates, and I need more than a few months in advance to adequately plan for a big trip. Also, there is zero alcohol or to***co. (This isn't an issue for me, at all - but for others, it may be!) Also, they don't allow dogs. If you have followed me for any amount of time, you know that my sweet Aussie, Millie is my trail partner! So - I created my own trip, and I am so excited!

Our hearts and thoughts go out to our friends and neighbors who have been affected by Helene. I have been heart broken that I have not been able to physically go to the affected areas and help. My mom is under Hospice care, and I'm trying to make her last days as comfortable as possible.

Next month, when I know where immediate needs are, I plan to do an All Stock Feed drive to take animal feed where needed.

In the meantime, there are reputable HONEST organizations that we encourage you to donate to.
This being one of my favorites: Mountain Mule Packer Ranch
