If you’ve been wanting a true swamp ride experience… this is your chance.

I’m offering guided horseback rides through Half-Hell Swamp—and yes, horses are provided. This is private land, raw trails, water crossings, and scenery you won’t find anywhere else.

Each time slot is limited to 4 riders
💲 $100 per rider
⏱ Minimum 90 minutes in the saddle

⚠️ Requirements:
• 18+ only
• Physically fit
• 220 lb weight limit

❗ Please Note:
This is not a haul-in-your-own-horse ride. Horses are provided for all riders.

This isn’t a nose-to-tail pony ride—this is real riding through the swamp on solid, experienced horses.

⚡ IMPORTANT:
These are pop-up rides only. I do not run a public trail riding business, and this is not open to the public on a regular schedule. This is all private land, and I only offer rides when I’m home for the weekend.

Everything is weather dependent, so I can’t book weeks (or months) in advance. I also do not run rides during the summer—it’s too hot and the bugs are too bad.

June 8th–12th 2026 will be our Advanced Course Camp for girls.

If you have a girl ages 11–17 with her own horse who can saddle, ride, and handle her horse independently, this camp is for her. This is a week-long camp in Half Hell, North Carolina (Bolivia, NC).

We do a little bit of everything. There will be arena work and games on horseback, where the girls can practice barrels, poles, or whatever they want to work on. We trail ride, go through the swamp, experience different terrains, and even take the horses swimming in the Intracoastal Waterway. We also do night rides with glow sticks, which are always a favorite.

The girls stay in my home at night. We cook dinners together, eat breakfast together, pack lunches, and by the end of the week they leave with confidence, independence, and friendships they didn’t have when they arrived.

Please note: This camp is Western riding only. I do not teach or work with English riding. I would not know how to assist your child if there were an issue with English riding or English tack. All riding, instruction, and activities during this camp are strictly Western.

Safety requirements:
• Every child under the age of 16 must wear a helmet at all times while riding — no exceptions.
• If a 16 or 17-year-old attends and a parent chooses for them not to wear a helmet, a waiver must be signed and notarized prior to camp.

Parents are added to a Facebook Messenger group, and I’ll go ahead and warn you now — you’ll probably get 100 pictures and videos a day. You may get tired of me blowing up the group, but you’ll have almost real-time updates of exactly what the girls are doing all week long.

Cost for this year’s camp is $600, and that includes all meals. I do ask that the girls bring some of their favorite snacks.

There is a $100 non-refundable deposit required to hold a spot. The deposit will only be refunded if I personally cancel the camp due to weather or any other reason.

This is honestly my personal favorite week of the summer. Watching these girls grow from day one to day five is absolutely amazing.
