Time for a Garden walk with Boo-Boo! No he doesn’t want to step up for me, no he doesn’t love me 🤣. But he hates showers enough that he would rather be on my hand than in the slightest bit of mist. Boo has A LOT more weight to gain, but since he’s been back on Harrison’s and Chop he’s been doing so much better. There has been no signs of any seizures no signs of nesting behavior yet. He is for sure still shredding his feathers but I don’t expect that to fully stop at this point. He’s on a daily probiotic, milk thistle and weekly calcium. It would be a huge win if I could work on some target training with him in hopes to gain or find a way his future home could work on trust building. unfortunately he’s not crazy food motivated. I will continue to find a way to make it happen!

Send lots of positive thoughts his way!

Last day of the month we are only $100 away from hitting our monthly goal 👏🏻. Can we make it happen by the end of the day!?

🦜INTRODUCTION POST 🦜

This past weekend we welcomed BooBoo BACK to WTFR. It’s been over 1 year since he was last with us. Originally surrendered back in 2025 because he was shredding his tail feathers they kind of thought maybe it was because his bonded human was working more and Boo-boo really is not a fan of ladies. He tolerates ladies who are confident and will give him attention but he would rather not love you if you are female. Boo-boo never stopped the feather shredding like we all had hoped but rather continued all over, after many months he did eventually bond to another man who unfortunately could no longer care for him to the extent that boo-boo needs. We were told he may have experienced a few seizures over the last year.

Boo-boo may be a longer stay with my family while we monitor him closely. We have him on extra calcium weekly, and a daily probiotic along with his chop and pellets. He seems to be doing just fine. Thankfully boo knows our family and did well with us last year. He seems to remember us well enough, his sass hasn’t changed a bit 🤣♥️.

Boo is a fantastic bird full of personality, hes a master at Fart Noises and kid screams! He just has a strong preference for a man (with time) and some feather destruction tendencies.

If you would like to help sponsor Boo-Boo and our current/future intakes our monthly minimum needed goal is $700, we are $175 away from meeting this months goal with only 4 days left! Being a sponsor helps provide everything the birds need from food, vetting, supplies etc. Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our mission and loves on these birds 🙏.

🦜BIRDIE SPOTLIGHT 🦜

We have multiple sweet birds ready for their homes. Applications are open for Bird, Mimi, and the Senior trio. Please read bios fully before applying. There is a $15 application fee pay via PayPal at end of application.

🦜ADOPTED!!!!! Mimi: 2 year old Female Indian Ring Neck, she has been with us for awhile no with not a single application. We know the right person is out there for her! She has been in many homes the past year, Mimi is pretty afraid of new people and hands. She will jump off her perch or run as fast as she can until she starts to feel comfortable. She’s a wonderful girl with so much potential, she just needs a human who has patience and understanding. A home who will allow her to be out of her cage (she loves a play top) and just love her for who she is. She does bite off her tail feathers and flight feathers, I truly believe now that she’s on a pellet and chop diet and once she feels stable and safe this has slowed down. A person who truly understands rescue and the love that blossoms over time would be amazing for Mimi.

🦜Senior Cockatiel Trio: 22 year old bonded cockatiels bird bird, pretty pretty and Florence have been with us a long while now. They would do amazing in a free flight bird room or aviary setting. They love to sing their little songs and just watch the world go by. They all will step up if they feel like it but really prefer to just be with each other. If you have the desire for even just a little company and noise in your home these three would do amazing.

🦜ADOPTED!!!!!! Bird: 3 year old Sun Conure, Bird would LOVE to have the rest of her pin feathers fluffed by her person. She LOVES people and loves to dance. There is not a single negative to this sweet girl. Keep in mind she is a Sun which means she is LOUD and Bird does love to flock call if she can’t see you or if she needs something, this can be pretty overstimulating if noise in general is an issue. She is a little shy of new people but warms up pretty quickly. Bird doesn’t seem bothered by other birds from what I have observed. I have not had her out with others but she is unbothered by cockatiels on her cage joining in flock calls.

If you feel you could be a good fit for any of these amazing birds see the application link below. If you are interested or open to any of them, no need to fill out an application for each (list names under question asking about birds you are applying for).

Our weekly garden tour. Daphne has been battling pin feathers and itchy skin. But she’s not pulling anything out, her chest is fully covered now! If you scroll down the feed a bit you will find her first garden walk when her full belly was naked. I just love her to bits ♥️.
