🐰Hopping into today's spotlight: Clarissa!🐰

Clarissa has been part of the Heartland team for 2 years, and she has a special place in her heart for our hospitalized patients. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is giving those pets the extra love, attention, and care they need while they're away from home. ❤️

Originally from Mulvane, Kansas, Clarissa has quite the animal family! There's Kai, her young and energetic Sheltie, his Sheltie brother Radar, and Barbas, a Central Asian Shepherd who helps look after the family's rabbits and chickens.

And speaking of rabbits, Clarissa raises show rabbits! 🐇 When she's not at Heartland, you're most likely to find her at a rabbit show or spending time in her barn.

Thank you, Clarissa, for the extra compassion and attention you give our hospitalized patients. They couldn't be in better hands! 💕

❤️13 YEARS of Heartland love! Meet Amber!❤️

Amber has been part of our Heartland family for over 13 years, and in that time, she's built countless relationships with the pets and people who walk through our doors.

One of her favorite things about veterinary medicine is getting to know patients and their families over the years, while continuing to learn something new every day. 🐾

Originally from Woodruff, SC, Amber has two dogs of her own: Bailey, a Black Lab who once apparently decided she wanted to be a cow (we have questions 😂🐄), and Willie, her adorable but VERY needy 3-year-old Pit/Lab mix!

When she's not at the hospital, Amber enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and pets.

Thank you, Amber, for more than 13 years of loyalty, compassion, and dedication to the Heartland community. We're so lucky to have you! 💕

💗Help us celebrate Tasha!💗

Tasha has been part of the Heartland family for 6 years, and for the past year, she's been bringing her passion for animal care to our veterinary treatment team!

Originally from Woodruff, SC, Tasha says one of the things she loves most about her job is being part of a team that works together to care for both pets and the people who love them. 🐾

She's got plenty of animal-care experience at home, too, with SIX dogs, a cat, a turtle, and a fish! 🐶🐢🐟

When she's not at Heartland, Tasha enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her pets, hunting, reading, playing co****le, and enjoying the outdoors.

We're so thankful for Tasha's teamwork, kindness, and commitment to keeping our patients happy and healthy!

🩺Today's spotlight is on Sharayah!🐾

Sharayah has been helping care for Heartland patients for 3½ years, and her favorite place to be is assisting with surgeries and dental procedures!

Originally from St. Charles, Missouri, Sharayah has two dogs with some BIG personalities. Camo, her Corgi, can't swim but is convinced he's the size of a German Shepherd. 😂 And Zelda, her Golden Retriever, loves spending time with the family, running wild in the yard, and joining Sharayah at Heartland for some lunchtime playtime!

When she's not in the hospital, Sharayah loves being outdoors, whether she's hunting, kayaking, hiking, or fishing. She also enjoys curling up with a good book. 📚

Thank you, Sharayah, for all the hard work, skill, and dedication you bring to our surgical team and patients! ❤️

🐾Let's give some love to Kiana!🐾

Although Kiana has been with Heartland for about a year and a half, she's been working in veterinary medicine for nearly 7 years!

Originally from north-central Pennsylvania, Kiana is especially passionate about client education and using Fear Free handling techniques to help make veterinary visits more comfortable and positive for our patients. ❤️

Her love for animals definitely doesn't stop when she clocks out! At home, she has three cats: Mabel, a calico; Nala, a sassy orange kitty; and Dipper, an American Curl/Sphynx rescue. She also has a Netherland Dwarf rabbit named Hazel! 🐱🐰

When she's not caring for animals, Kiana enjoys pickleball, running, pet sitting, thrifting, and exploring new places.

Thank you, Kiana, for helping our patients feel safe, understood, and cared for every day!

💕 Everyone, meet Kait! 💕

Kait joined our Heartland family about 3 months ago, and she's already found some of her favorite things about the job: meeting all the adorable pets who come through our doors and spending time with her coworkers! 🐶🐱

A Spartanburg native, Kait has two furry companions of her own. There's Remi, her gray tabby who insists on being the little spoon at bedtime, and Milo, her mixed-breed pup who loves getting the zoomies and chasing his own tail. 😂

Outside of work, Kait enjoys reading, hiking, playing board games, watching movies, creating art, and spending time with her boyfriend and pets.

We're so excited to have Kait as part of our team and look forward to all the wonderful things ahead!

❤️Meet Emily, one of our amazing veterinary technicians!❤️

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Emily has been part of the Heartland team for almost 4 years! Her favorite parts of veterinary medicine are caring for critical patients and helping educate pet owners about their animals' health.

Emily also has some pretty remarkable pets of her own! Her Pit Bull, Tatanka, helped save lives as a blood donor for Heartland patients before retiring last year. Her cat Cookie 21 years old! Emily rescued Cookie as an injured stray when she was just 12 years old, and they've been together ever since.

As if veterinary medicine doesn't keep her busy enough, Emily is also attending school to become a registered nurse! In her free time, she enjoys CrossFit and volunteering at CrossFit competitions.

We're so grateful for Emily's compassion, hard work, and dedication to helping animals when they need it most! 🐾

🌸It's time to celebrate Ashley!🌸

For the past 7 years, Ashley has been an important part of the Heartland team, and her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is that there's always something new to learn!

Originally from Gaffney, SC, Ashley loves having the opportunity to grow her knowledge and skills every day while helping care for our patients. 🩺🐾

At home, she's kept busy by her two Lab mixes, Stormy and Tessie, and four cats! When she's not surrounded by animals, Ashley enjoys reading, gardening, and getting creative with crafts. 📚🌿

Thank you, Ashley, for your dedication to learning, growing, and providing wonderful care to our patients over the years! ❤️
