Big THANK YOU to the Spartanburg Ski and Outing Club for their continued support of SHS.

Taylor and Joy also dropped off a nice variety of food, treats, detergent, cleaning products and more to the Spartanburg Humane Society.
We appreciate SHS and all they do for the animals.

GOOD MORNING! We are open for our regular hours of operation (12pm-6pm) for people who are interested in adopting one of our animals.

Please browse our website prior to entering our building, so that when you come in, you can have certain animals in mind to visit with. https://spartanburghumane.org/adopt/
OR you can chat with one of our adoption counselors about the size and personality of an animal you might be interested in.

As a reminder for intake, we are still beyond capacity on space and have no available kennels. We are currently operating on wait list for intake of animals.

From an SMC student who spent time with Daisy, "This 3-year-old cutie is Daisy. She may look small, but she has a gigantic heart. Although she might come off as a shy pup at first, but once she gets comfortable with you, she becomes excited to see you. This sweet, beautiful girl finds comfort in other dogs - so she will do well in a home where she can have a fellow dog friend. She loves playing and running around with other dogs, even if they're twice her size. Daisy loves to explore different scents in the outdoors and has the cutest little satellite ears, which she adores having scratched. She absolutely loves treats and is very gentle when it comes to taking them from your hand. Come meet this sweet, lovable girl who will make a great addition to your fur-ever family!"

Daisy is 4 years old and weighs 45 pounds.

Harley is currently in foster care and available for adoption. Harley is 4 years old and weighs 59 pounds. Please call 864-583-4805 to make an appointment to meet Harley.

On top of being a Camp Love-A-Pet dog, Harley also spent some 1 on 1 time with an SMC student and this is what they had to say about Harley, "Harley first gives off the impression of being energetic, playful, and active, but as you get to know a little more about him, you'll find that this extremely polite boy is more of a chill, laid back dog. He has the most adorable brown eyes that glow brightly in the sun. While he may be a little distant when meeting new people, once he gets comfortable around you, he will shower you with affection and love. Harley is a more independent dog that likes to act at his own leisure; he loves to play fetch, and his absolute favorite toy is the ball. If you prefer a more reserved, couch-potato dog who will also play with you, then Harley is the ideal dog for you. He is extremely sweet, loves hugs, and craves attention.
