❤️🐾For days, this mama dog wandered the streets, carrying the weight of survival on her shoulders. While caring for her eight puppies, she faced traffic, hot and rainy weather, hunger, and the constant threat of other animals—all while doing everything she could to keep her babies safe.

When rescuers finally brought her and her puppies to us for safety, something remarkable happened. The moment she realized they were no longer in danger, she let her guard down and fell fast asleep. Not because she was lazy. Not because she wasn’t worried. But because, for the first time in a very long time, she could rest.

This exhausted mama had spent every ounce of energy protecting her family. Now, surrounded by safety and comfort, she could finally close her eyes knowing her puppies were safe. Sometimes the deepest sleep comes after the hardest fight.❤️🐾🥹

A nice family got a big surprise this morning when they opened their front door to see a mama dog and 8 pups on their front walkway.
The mama dog and pups are safely housed at our shelter and their 5 day stray hold ends 6/11/26 at 4:00pm.
If an owner has not come forward at that time with legit proof of ownership, the dogs will be fully vetted and be available for adoption.

🚨This is why we BEG you not to let strays roam free! 💔🚨

A trash truck hit a family of dogs crossing a busy road.🚛
One tiny puppy was killed.
Her mom and littermates survived.
But this little girl — only 9 weeks old — was left with a broken leg.😢

She’s on pain meds and crate rest to see if the splint will help her leg heal to prevent having to amputate. 🙏🏻 We pray the splint works so we can save her leg. Although she will be provided the medical care needed to heal, the biggest concern is that she should have never been in that road to begin with.

🚫 This is preventable! 🚫
Every day we see what happens when dogs are allowed to roam:
• Hit by cars
• Attacked by other animals
• Exposed to disease and parasites
• Lost and never found
• Unplanned litters that fill shelters like ours

Your pet might “always come back”... until the one day they don’t. In situations where animals are dumped or not cared for, they are left to fend for themselves, and sad stories like this become the reality.
