It’s been a terrible couple of weeks for me. There was a mass-exodus of my personal piggies, and I’ve been a gutted mess. They were all old and I knew it would happen someday…but it’s destroyed me.

Anyways. The rescue needs $200 still to cover surgery costs for piggies before they can be adopted out and we don’t have it. So if anyone has it in their heart to help out with funds for that I would be over the moon.

PIGGIES AT PRIDE: Pridefest 2026!

The Cheeky Wheekies will be at Bloomington PRIDE ( ) this Saturday, August 22 ! The event runs from 2:00-11:00 PM.

We will have ambassador piggies AND...

Our awesome Soph will be there doing quick Art Commissions for CW donations! $10 minimum.

Y'all...this will be so fun! We had a blast last year and this year will be even better! Hope to see you there!

I will be back at the rescue and finally responding to messages on Monday! 🫶

Thankfully no babies are being born while I’m away and the staff is watching over all the pigs lol

Some 🫏🧢 dumped these sweet, fluffy boys in the park in Martinsville.
They are doing great so far and getting neutered before long and will be adoptable.
I named them Jimmy and Nash after the park lol

Anyways.
I’m maxed out on pigs again after taking the summer to slow down.

And I’m broke (the rescue is).
If you care to send donations I will give you a hug. Maybe. Probably.

Seriously though. I need about $600 to get all the pigs that came in from the home (in Muncie) to get everyone fixed.

‼️CONTENT WARNING ‼️

Do not slide if you don’t have a strong stomach and/or are uncomfortable with medical procedures.

This is what as cleaned out of the tumor that was on the boar that came in infested with maggots the other day.

He’s going to be on meds, but he is going to be ok. The tumor may return, so he will likely be a sanctuary piggie the rest of his life.

He is SO sweet, and I’m very thankful The Pipsqueakery was able to take him in and fix him up so quickly.

I have named him Mr Magoo. ❤️

295 piggies have found homes through Cheeky Wheekies since I opened my doors. ❤️

That fact brings me to tears of joy. I have photos of every single adoption and I keep in touch with nearly all of them, even some years later. ❤️

Everyone who comes here looking for piggies to love are so incredible and I am so thankful they chose to adopt my babies and love them Fur-Ever!

Despite the hard parts of rescue, I absolutely adore doing this. This is my life’s calling, and I’m so blessed I am able to do it!

I don’t rescue ferrets, but I have friends that do!
So when these poor babies (4 total) were found abandoned by a dumpster on the west side of Bloomington, The Pipsqueakery was called to take them and they called me to get them to Indy.
Thankfully they are in expert hands now with my friend Brenda at Five Points Ferret Refuge!

They were NOT in good shape. One older gal of the bunch was emaciated and blind. The others had very obvious hair loss, most likely due to adrenal issues. None of them had health coats, gums, or teeth and will need extensive care before they are adopted. Or they may end up in sanctuary. Either way, we are glad Five Points Ferret Refuge could take them and save them. You should follow them and support them. They are amazing. ❤️

The point of this post on a Guinea Pig page?
The point is that we are all sick and tired of human beings throwing animals away like garbage. We will NEVER judge you or condemn you for asking for help when it’s too much to care for them. But we WILL loathe you for abandoning, abusing, or harming them. Do better.

I truly hope whoever threw these babies away sees this and thinks long and hard about what kind of a human they are. And I hope you change your awful ways.

The rescue community is tired. We are tired, we are broke, and we are stressed. Please send your local some help today. At least some hugs. We all need it.
