It’s been 1 whole year of being open to serve this community. A LOT has changed in a year’s time!

Our staff has changed and grown. Our doctors have changed and grown. The services we are able to offer has changed and grown. 4945 patients came through our doors in 1 years time!

One thing that hasn’t changed is our appreciation and heart for this community! We want to say THANK YOU to everyone from the bottom of our hearts. We can’t wait to see where the next year takes us, the growing we will do, and the patients we will help.

Get to know our newest doctor!

Dr. Tyler Pieper grew up in rural northwest Illinois. He discovered his passion for veterinary medicine while working at a local farm. After graduating from South Dakota State University with a degree in Animal Science in 2018, he obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2022. Following this, he moved to Indiana to start his career as a small animal practitioner. His passion is for emergency medicine, providing pets the care they need when they need it the most.

Dr. Pieper recently moved to Bloomington with his loving wife, Moria. They are excited to be a part of this community and hope to be able to make a difference while they are here. When not at the clinic enjoy traveling, trying delicious food, and taking photos of the night sky together.

HELP! We need your help choosing a winner! Like the photo of the door you think is best decorated!

We try to do lots of activities with our staff all year that are fun and can help take away from the hard times that come with this job. Our staff grouped up and each group decorated a winter themed door in our lobby. WE NEED YOUR HELP DECIDING THE WINNER! Our contest ends December 29th.

Meet Hera!
This sweet pup swallowed a whole sock as a nice snack. Socks and other non-edible objects can lodge in the the digestive system and become stuck, and have to be surgically removed.

A lot of factors go in to our ability to do these kind of surgeries here at VetCheck. Luckily Hera was just starting to show symptoms of sickness and was very stable and simply needed to rest after surgery. Our staff felt comfortable, and worked late into the night to remove the object, and this sweet pup recovered well and went home the following afternoon!
