Dee is a sweet, affectionate 2-year-old Cattle Dog mix who is searching for an active family to call her own.

She’s house-trained, easy to walk, and loves being part of the action. Dee thrives when she has people to spend time with and would do best with a family that can give her the exercise, attention, and companionship she deserves.

Unfortunately, Dee was previously returned through no fault of her own when her adopter realized they didn’t have enough time for a dog. Since then, she has been patiently waiting for the right match—and after 6 weeks, she still hasn’t received an application.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who is ready for adventures, walks, and plenty of snuggles, Dee may be your perfect fit.

Danielle, our very own bird expert is beginning her externship with Penn Foster in June! She’ll be immersed into the world of Emergency Vet Services, where she’ll receive critical training and tools for treating the most serious pet emergency cases. Danielle has been working in tandem with us and The Bird Center of Michigan for a couple of years. We’re excited for her new endeavor and can’t wait to learn from her journey.

In celebration of Detroit’s most charismatic avian resident, Detroit Bird Alliance is teaming up with Brewery Faisan to host the first ever is hosting a full-day festival celebrating the Ring-necked Pheasant. The festival is inspired by NYC’s Pigeon Fest and offers FREE public programming including pheasant themed activities, art workshops, a Pheasant Impersonation Parade, and more!
Pheasant Flock Party also features organizations engaged in work around birds, nature, and urban wildlife. They will share information about their important work and engage attendees in hands-on activities.
Pheasant Flock Party brings together bird enthusiasts, artists, musicians, conservationists, educators, and the public to play and learn together, while exploring art and nature in the urban landscape.
Pheasant Flock Party is about having fun, building community, and of course BIRDS!
This family friendly events welcome everyone.
