Bud & Leo are still waiting…

Did you know Bud and Leo arrived in December of 2025? That means these sweet senior boys have spent more than 140 days here at the shelter.

These two deserve a cozy home to call their own. Bud and Leo are cat-friendly, social, friendly, and absolutely adorable together.

Maverick

Just turned 1 year old and still very much a big puppy at heart! Maverick is a handsome German Shepherd/Black Lab mix with a fun-loving personality and lots of love to give.

This sweet boy is great with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to many different types of homes. He already knows how to sit politely for treats and is always ready for his next adventure — whether that’s going for walks, exploring outdoors, or just spending time with his people.

These are all of our amazing cats currently looking for their forever homes! ❤️

Our goal is to help each of these incredible cats find loving families before kitten season fully arrives. While tiny kittens often get lots of attention quickly, we have so many wonderful adult and young cats who deserve the same chance at a happy home.

Each one has their own personality — from playful and outgoing to calm and cuddly — and they are all hoping someone will give them a chance. 🐱

If you’ve been thinking about adding a feline friend to your family, now is the perfect time! By adopting now, you’re not only saving a life, but also helping us make room for the many kittens that will soon be coming through our doors during kitten season.

These pups loved all the extra attention and did an amazing job posing for the camera.

The best part? Every single one of these babies is available for adoption and looking for their forever home!

Buzz would LOVE to find his forever home this weekend! ❤️

This handsome boy has sadly been with us since December and is more than ready for a family of his own. Buzz is around 4 years old, dog friendly, and full of personality — including his adorable smile that he loves to show off! 😄

Buzz would do best in a home without cats or children where he can relax, settle in, and be the center of attention he deserves.

We are excited to share that our new Meet & Greet area for the shelter dogs is finally coming together! 🐾

We still have a little work to do on the inside setup, but we are thrilled to have a dedicated space where potential adopters can spend one-on-one time getting to know our dogs in a calmer, more comfortable environment. This will also help keep our front office less crowded so multiple families can visit animals at the same time more easily.

This space is going to be such a wonderful addition for our animals and adopters alike! ❤️

As we finish putting everything together, we are looking for a few donations of gently used outdoor items if anyone has extras laying around:
• Portable umbrellas for shade
• Outdoor benches
• Outdoor rugs
• Plastic children’s slides/play equipment for the dogs to enjoy

🐾 Kitten Season is Right Around the Corner… and we’re preparing now! 🐾

That time of year is quickly approaching, and we are already beginning to see kittens coming in from all directions. Some are abandoned, some arrive with their nursing moms, and others are found by kind community members who just need help caring for them.

Right now, we have:
🐱 Two nursing moms in foster care
• One amazing mama caring for 7 kittens — 5 of her own plus 2 she took in after their mom passed away 💔➡️❤️
• Another devoted mom caring for 5 kittens

And this is just the beginning… we are already in communication with several others who will likely be needing help very soon.

Kitten season is one of the most demanding times of the year for animal shelters and rescues. It takes a huge toll on our staff, fosters, and volunteers. There are late nights, early mornings, and often someone heading home with bottle babies that need round-the-clock care.

💛 How you can help us prepare:

🍼 Donate much-needed supplies:
• Dry kitten food (Purina preferred)
• Canned kitten food
• Clumping cat litter
• Nursing supplies (bottles & special ni***es)
• Baby wipes
• Heating pads

🏡 Become a foster:
Another HUGE need during kitten season is foster homes. Giving these animals a place to stay in a home environment instead of the shelter makes a world of difference in their health and development.
We are doing okay right now, but we know the need is coming quickly — so we are starting to accept foster applications now to be prepared.

Kitten season is almost here, and before the kittens start arriving, we would love to see our amazing adult cats find their forever homes.

We have some truly incredible, snuggly adult cats waiting for families of their own. Adult cats are often already past the wild kitten stage and are ready to settle in, love hard, and become the perfect companion.
