Leave No Trace is the first graded stakes winner for sire Outwork and a pretty big winner for us, too. We could not be prouder of this filly we purchased for partners Anna Simms, DVM, and Patrick Nuesch.

Our own Bomboloni, a 3-year-old gelding selected and Virginia Certified by Djuric Sporthorses in partnership with Anna Simms, DVM, was a winner at first asking last week at Laurel. A bittersweet debut for this lovely horse by Verrazano as we were winners on the track but losers at the claim box.

We're sad to see our good boy go but could not be prouder of him or the effort that took us all from bargain hunting in the back ring at the Keeneland yearling sales to the winner's circle in Maryland.

Thanks to the many, many people who made this special horse part of our lives. And a special thanks to the Virginia Certified Developers Incentive -- we expect to keep seeing a return on this investment of love and money. If you haven't checked out the advantages to Virginia horsemen recently, it's a good time to get reacquainted.

Congratulations to owner WellSpring Stables and trainer Phil Serpe on a huge debut performance at Saratoga with Leave No Trace, a convincing MSW winner on Wednesday. This 2-year-old filly by Outwork was selected and Virginia Certified by Djuric Sporthorses in conjunction with Dr. Anna Simms and Patrick Nuesch.
