Dear Doctor,

On February 18th, 2026, Boehringer Ingelheim announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued Emergency Use Authorizations (EUA) for the use of NexGard® (afoxolaner) Chewables for the treatment of infestations caused by New World screwworm (NWS) in dogs and puppies, and NexGard® COMBO (esafoxolaner, eprinomectin, and praziquantel topical solution) for the treatment of infestations caused by NWS in cats and kittens. New World screwworm is now confirmed in the United States.1 More information about NWS and the unified federal response is available at screwworm.gov.

As a temporary solution, while we work on updating our packaging, every product order will include a 10-sheet tear pad displaying the EUA QR code. We ask veterinarians and clinic staff to provide one sheet from this tear pad with each NexGard® or
NexGard® COMBO product dispensed to pet owners.

NexGard® and NexGard® COMBO have not been approved for this use. NexGard® and NexGard® COMBO are authorized for this use only for the duration of the declaration that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of the emergency use of NexGard®and NexGard® COMBO under section 564(b)(1) of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, 21 U.S.C. § 360bbb-3(b)(1), unless the declaration is terminated or the authorization is revoked sooner.

NexGard® and NexGard® COMBO are authorized to be dispensed only by, or on the order of, a licensed veterinarian. For more information, please visit NexGardEUA.comand NexGardCOMBOEUA.com.

Information and support: For any technical questions or assistance, please call our Technical Support team at 1-888-637-4251, or reach out to your local
Boehringer Ingelheim Representative.

Sincerely,

Russ Drury, DVM

Supporting animal welfare while supporting veterinary professionals.

This month, Dr. Elianne Mimoun returns to Guatemala to participate in high-volume spay and neuter campaigns with the Casa Sullis Animal Society.

As part of our commitment to continuing education and volunteer opportunities, Veterkin Society members receive a $100 registration credit for eligible Casa Sullis campaigns.

Together, we're making a difference for animals, communities, and the veterinary profession.

round-up. 📣 Congratulations to Ronit Berdugo, DVM '01, and Elianne Mimoun, DVM '01, co-owners of The Veterkin Society, on their feature in dvm360! 🐾

The Veterkin Society has partnered with Lap of Love to bring Veterkin membership to their team of veterinarians as an added benefit. The collaboration gives Lap of Love's doctors streamlined access to discounted diagnostics, at-cost medications, veterinary diets, medical equipment rentals, and more — resources many nontraditional vets lose access to once they step outside a traditional clinic setting.

We're proud to see our alumni innovating solutions that support the entire veterinary community, no matter where their careers take them. Way to go, Dr. Berdugo and Dr. Mimoun! 🩺🐶🐱

After selling her veterinary practice, Dr. Elianne Mimoun discovered that, despite being a licensed veterinarian, she no longer had easy access to the resources needed to care for her own pets.

She founded the Veterkin Society to change that, giving veterinarians access to the tools and support they need to continue caring for their own animals, wherever their careers take them.

One of the greatest benefits of Veterkin Society is the confidence of knowing you have access to the professional resources you need to care for your own pets, without relying on clinic access or professional favors.

From diagnostics and at-cost medications to medical records and exclusive member benefits, Veterkin Society is designed to support licensed veterinarians wherever their careers take them.

"To not have to find time in my own work schedule to try and take one of my pets to a local vet clinic is saving me from lots of stress."

July is National Pet Hydration Awareness Month, a timely reminder that warmer weather brings an increased risk of dehydration and heat-related illness in our patients.

As veterinarians, we understand the importance of early recognition and intervention. The Veterkin Society helps you apply that same standard of care to your own pets, with member access to diagnostics, at-cost medications, and professional resources designed to support care outside the traditional clinic setting.

Because your expertise shouldn't be limited by access.
