We need your help but first meet the who you’ll be helping. Meet July, a super sweet possible Catahoula mix who has survived being dumped & left alone to fend for herself, while evading traffic on a 6-lane for God knows how long. She did survive; however, not without injuries.
Our girls, Sonja Mabe & Patty Doss were literally on their way to pick up a dog we had just trapped (more about that later) & came across a group of people pulled over, trying to help July. What a tremendous group of people they were. Whoever you are, THANK YOU! There was even a girl stopped w/ her own dogs who had a 1st aid kit. Boy, did that come in handy! Our team did what they do, they got her, but it wouldn’t have happened w/o the kindness & compassion of strangers. We channeled our inner Chris Haverly & it paid off. Damn! We miss that man but there’s no doubt he was with us on this one.
We believe she was hit by a car, as she had lacerations on her legs, worn & sensitive paw pads (probably from running on the hot pavement), covered in ticks, extremely underweight, & completely exhausted. Through all that she has been nothing but sweet & grateful for the attention & treatment she’s now receiving. Poor girl hasn’t had a good nights sleep in some time & has endured her share of neglect but that changes NOW. Her wounds have been treated but she’s headed to the Vet tomorrow for a complete wellness check & any add’l treatment/meds she needs to help speed up her recovery.
We’re asking for sponsors to help pay for her medical treatment. We refuse to be the group that constantly asks for donations but when we do ask, you can be assured it’s legit & for a good reason just like this. July is our reason!
I’ve posted a couple pics (some graphic) & our QR code below in case your heart is telling you to help this sweet girl. THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES.
