February will be here soon and February is National Pet Dental Health Month.

Our pet’s dental health is often overlooked until a problem arises. Think about it – we brush our teeth daily, and most people have yearly dental visits. Good oral health is not only about fresh breath but also prevents oral pain, tooth loss, and potential organ damage.

Call our office today to schedule your pet’s COHAT (Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment) which includes not only cleaning your pet’s teeth, but evaluating his/her oral health with full mouth dental radiographs, dental probing and charting and an overall oral evaluation. This is an anesthetic procedure and requires a current annual exam and blood panel within 2 months of the scheduled procedure.

Here are a few members of Dr. Kay's family. Boscoe (yellow lab w/ blue collar) and Fisher (silver lab w/ red collar) are best buds. Boscoe is full of life and always wants to play. When he joined the family he didn't have this kind of energy, and there was no knowing if his time would be short or long term since he was infected with heartworm. But Dr. Kay's loving touch and medical expertise nursed Boscoe back to health and back to being a rambunctious young lab. If your dogs haven't received their heartworm prevention lately, sign-up for our March 27 prevention event.
