Zoey’s been making amazing progress in her sessions with Jaime here at Animal Therapy Center, and during one special session, she had a familiar face cheering her on—her brother Moose!
Moose isn’t just the world’s most enthusiastic treat-motivated cheerleader—he’s also an ATC alum himself! He was a rehab patient several years ago, so when he stepped back into the gym, he knew exactly what to do to get treats.
It just goes to show—it really does take two: one to do the work, and one to show up for moral support and snacks. but mostly snacks.

Happy World Veterinary Day!
Today we’re sending heartfelt thanks to our incredible veterinarians, Dr. Nixon and Dr. Gabriel — the foundation of our team and the reason we’re able to offer truly comprehensive care.

While canine rehab is sometimes approached as just a set of exercises, we believe it should be so much more. With Dr. Nixon’s veterinary expertise guiding every treatment plan, we’re able to provide care that’s deeply informed, medically sound, and tailored to each individual dog.

And with Dr. Gabriel’s holistic approach, our patients benefit from a broader perspective — one that supports healing and wellness from every angle.

We’re proud to do things the right way: with licensed veterinarians, thoughtful collaboration, and a commitment to whole-patient care. Because your dog deserves more than a one-size-fits-all solution — they deserve a team that truly understands them.

At the ATC, we treat more than just patients recovering from surgery or seniors looking to improve their quality of life — we also help puppies on their journey to better health and development! 🐾💙Hannah is an eleven-month-old rough-coat collie who came to us for severe hip dysplasia. This condition causes the hip joints to develop incorrectly, leading to atrophy and pain in her hind legs. Without intervention, it could have put her at risk for needing a total hip replacement. 😟Thanks to our dedicated team and targeted therapy, we’re happy to report that Hannah is doing MUCH better! Her owners have noticed increased activity at home, and she’s one happy, playful puppy! 🐶💪We’re so proud of Hannah’s progress and are excited to continue supporting her on her road to recovery! 🌟

✨ Transformation Story Alert! ✨

Meet Bentley who came to Animal Therapy Center withthout use of his hind legs following an intense back surgery. After a comprehensive treatment plan that only a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner can offer, we’re thrilled to announce that Bentley is up and starting to walk again🐾👏

It’s always incredible to see the power of evidence-based therapy and specialized care in action. While some may claim to offer rehabilitation services, we’re proud to say that proper certification and experience matter.

When it comes to the health and well-being of your pets, don’t settle for anything less than the best—because not all rehabilitation is created equal. 🐕❤️

This month, you’ll see a new face at the Animal Therapy Center! Please help us welcome our Patient Care Coordinator, Dan, who will be helping with our rehab patients, and helping revamp our wellness and sports/conditioning programs.

From Dan:

I have been involved in purebred dogs since the late 1980's. My original Breed was Field Spaniels. My first Field Spaniel Champion was a Liver male bred by Lynn Finney – Bitterblue Field Spaniels. We have had multiple Champion Fields throughout the 1990's and early 2000. I began handling Great Danes in the late 90's. Great Danes were my primary focus for well over 20 years. I had great mentors. I have finished
multiple Champions and campaigned multiple top Danes over the years. I won the GDCA National Specialty with then special MBIS/MBISS/Ch. Keystone's to Protect & Serve. Kevlar was #1 all systems in the early 2000's. I also campaigned his son who was also a Best In Specialty Show winning Dane, and many others. I am a current member of Morris & Essex Kennel Club. I currently own two Champion Tibetan Spaniel bi***es. I also Co-Breed/Own/Handle Japanese Chin in which I own 11 Japanese Chin Champions including three group winning and formerly ranked specials with Kathy Jurin under the kennel Prefix Karix-Mantra.

I love canine wellness and conditioning. It is my personal belief that incredible conditioning and husbandry directly influences the quality of life of our beloved pets. This includes being prevention focus by providing our animals with superior nutrition and exercise. Professionally I have worked in Health & Human Service for many years. I have dedicated my life to helping people live better lives. I am also and AKC S.A.F.E Certified Groomer. I am excited to bring the passion I have for Dogs to my new position by ensuring phenomenal customer relationships are built and sustained with their phenomenal keepers - we call other Human beings!
There is nothing like the human-canine bond!
