Backside of Rescue no one sees or talks about:

The financial part of it all. This is why we fundraise when we can. We are now at a stand still.

The phone calls coming in for surrenders are at a record high.

Situations like this break my heart not being able to help.

For a solid 5 years we usually get a phone call in or around May for Hoarding situations. We have taken on many. However funding seems to be very challenging this year. And Yes, This is a huge factor to taking in more animals. They are few and far between Grants for small animals, And we have not been lucky to receive one yet.

Fundraising in Summer months is on hold unless inside with air conditioning , As I cannot deal with the heat, My body completely shuts down with migraines.

Yesterday: Notification of hoarding case of 28 plus Guinea pigs in horrific conditions.

Nothing sure why Aco didn’t remove all of them.

Today: Phone call from owner trying to surrender them.

When we can’t help we reference to other Organizations with larger facilities, And they always get referred back to us.
