What an eggy surprise I got when picking up the fresh chicken eggs today! One of our hens laid a HUGE egg. It’s the biggest egg we have ever had at our farm. It might be a double yoked egg. The extra big egg weighed 3.74 ounces and the regular egg weighed 2.43 ounces . So the difference is 1.31 ounces between the two eggs. We feed our hens very well and let them out in our house he fenced yard to free range two hours in the morning.

Our APRI registered, chocolate spotted, Miniature Schnauzer named Darby is looking for a new home. She is enjoying lying on the couch with her daughter, Daisy. Darby barks at the TV when she sees/hears a dog on a tv program. She is so silly!🤪

Day 3 of the cold 🥶 freeze here in Northwest Louisiana. We bundle up to feed the farm animals and carry water from the house to the sheep herd since their water tank is frozen solid. We are feeding grain to our sheep daily instead of 3x weekly! They need the extra calories to stay warm. Our sheep have two cozy barns to get into and a huge hay roll available 24/7. Enjoy the sheep feeding video. Many Minis outside Shreveport, Louisiana area.

Another new set of lambs born on a very cold night. Our sheep have two barns to get inside. They both have straw bedding and they have plenty of hay too. We feed our new mom’s (ewes) grain daily! So we have 4 new baby lambs. Born right after Christmas 🎄! One boy and one girl in each pair of lambs. Many Minis in Louisiana! Happy New Years! 💥🎄🎉🍾
