I lost 3 babies yesterday with this cold weather. They all get together and huddle under the heater in their cuddle puddle. The ones on the bottom get crushed and die. Unfortunately, it happens but I still hate it. It is always my favorite colors!

I am thinking of other items to offer in a waffle to have some fun this weekend. Also, I will be offering a nice Christmas present to one lucky Subscriber on Christmas day!!!!! I can't wait!!!! Monday is here and we are ready to slay the week! No, I am ready to go back to bed! It is cold and my birds do not like it!
I have 2 choices today......be positive or be a negative Nancy. I choose to be positive! Life is better when you look at the positive and ignore the negative .

Thank you for all of the interest to check fertility for my new breeding pen! I am going down the list. I still do not have a surgery date! I could be hatching!! Lol. Yes, I am a hatchaholic lol

DO YOU SEE IT?????? The silver and gold combination in this Paint chick. The gold is around the head and the silver is the body. You must find the balance between the 2 to get a bright white with minimal/no silver or khaki leakage. It is a hard balance because you do not see the results until they are 4+ months old. Silkies do not get into a hurry for anything! We are on Silkie time in this house-hahaha. We will check back on this chick in July to check on her glow-up (remember.....all of my chicks are girls until they crow).

Pray for the mothers out there that are trying to finish Christmas shopping and trying to make the holidays special for the kiddos. It is a lot! I need ideas for teachers/ bus drivers gifts. I like to be unique with gifts. Maybe a plant? Plants are my second addiction. I love getting starters from plants! I need Christmas cactus starters! My plants are not blooming this year. They are sensitive too! Why do I pick hard hobbies? BECAUSE I LOVE A CHALLENGE!!!!!

Wind chill is -2 this morning........too cold for me but I will get out in it for my babies! I check on them multiple times a day on the weekends and twice a day during the week. It would be more during the week but the Job gets in the way-darn it! I worry about my babies constantly. Sometimes I think about downsizing to avoid the stress and worry........

My poor Hershey, my Dun Chocolate Stripper, had an impacted crop. I had to bring him in and give him some olive oil. I had to massage his crop and help get it down.

It is always something with owning birds! We have to keep them healthy and happy!

I am done shipping for the year! I have chicks available but you must pick up in Benton, KY.

I will be adding straw for the outside birds. Windchills are in the negative temps tonight and tomorrow.

Big B***y Judy goes to her new home today! I am meeting Heather Morton at Noon today for her new lady!!!! I am so excited for both of them!
